Farmiga loads A Thousand Guns

Vera Farmiga has signed on to Daniel Calparsoro’s revenge indie Western A Thousand Guns .

Playing the wife of a preacher (yes she is, ooooh yes she is), the film will follow Farmiga as she undertakes a “journey of revenge”. And that’s all we know for now.

Apart from the fact that it’s being financed by new production company Prominent Pictures. And that we love a good dusty Western, and we love Vera Farmiga, so this should shape up pretty nicely.

Spanish director Daniel Calparsoro is currently helming horror flick The Cold , starring Shane West and Jesse Bring It On Bradford. It's about a group of friends who go hunting and have their holiday ruined by secrets.

Farmiga will next be seen in comedy flick Henry’s Crime alongside Keanu Reeves. Then she’s heading up Duncan Jones’ sophomore directorial effort Source Code , scheduled to come out next year.

If that all wasn’t keeping her busier than ever, Farmiga is also making her directing debut with Higher Ground , an adaptation of Carolyn Briggs’ memoir This Dark World . It’s about Biggs’ 20 years spent as a Fundamentalist Christian.

Think Farmiga's a good fit for some Western drama?
