The third installment of Fallout is here, in all its post-apocalyptic glory. You’ve read the reviews, you’ve seen the trailers – now see the first 15 minutes of gameplay. OK, not the very first 15 minutes, we picked up after all the “growing up in The Vault tutorial” stuff. This is the point where the game opens up, as you take your first steps out into the wasteland and start really experiencing the world (very much like coming out of the imperial sewer in Oblivion.) With so much to see and do, it was tough to stop playing long enough to render the video and put this article together!

    Good Game... does any1 know how to get into Galaxy news radio after u kill the huge monster because it says u need a key and i tried pickpocketing everyone but no1 has it...and by the way, the only bad thing about this game is the freaking hard lockpick thing. I always just save and then force it and if it doesnt work i load it again and just keep trying because i have no idea how to lockpick... PLEASE HELP! HOW TO GET INTO GAL. NEWS RADOP AND HOW TO LOCKPICK!!

    Please can someone tell me what the controls of this are for pc or point me in the direction of something that would help.

    I just don't understand how a 1st person shooter would work on pc.

    Unfortunately, the full-screen button is only available in the game-level video player, here:

    It's that little button next to the volume control. It's not ideal, I know. A full-screen button for the embedded player is definitely on the to-do list.

    May I suggest the next time you do a "First 15 Minutes" video, you pick 15 minutes that are a little more full of action... Half the video is you standing around or clicking and seaching through things. The screens arn't even legible. I'm just saying, I felt like I was sitting here watching the "friend" everyone has that doesn't know how to play and asks, "What does this button do?" every 2 minutes.

    Very nice video, been looking forward to this game for weeks. If only I wasn't already getting LBP and Midnight Club, and just bought Bioshock.

    And although I don't like to say it, you really need to do something about your video quality, even youtube is better. And a full screen button would be nice too :)

    Ah, thank you. It's just that I rarely visit the main page for vids, only usually see the embed. Changing the bandwidth to high definately improved it though, will keep this in mind when I view more vids.

    @Richie: Also, pop open the prefs on the video player and make sure you have bandwidth set to high ... I think it defaults to medium, and on high it should look comparable if not better than YouTube.

    This looks great.
    It was interesting to see the combat, seems like unlike the usual fps enemies (e.g. one shot, one kill) these are quite difficult.
    Reminded me of Oblivion where if you don't make an awesome strong fighter character, you end up running in circles throwing fireballs for about 3 minutes per enemy.

    Started playing it about 4:00 today. Didn't even get up until 9:00. I know it wasn't touted as a horror game, but I'm not ashamed to admit that I jumped a fair number of times. The sewers make one jumpy.

    Brilliant game. Highly recommend.
