Pikachu hats, kitty cats, and... Wii Fit tats?

Words: Martin Kitts, NGamer UK

5) Game Boy diorama
What better use for a broken Game Boy than to fill it with a 3D papercraft retro game model? Hand it to your grandma and laugh as she tries to ‘play’ the unresponsive cardboard Mario. It’s got good graphics, though.

6) Harmonesica
The most amazing thing about this is that it took so long for somebody to make the natural connection between blowing on NES carts to make them work and blowing on harmonicas to make them squeal. It’s obvious when you think about it. Well, the edge connector part looks a bit like something you might put in your mouth - if you happen to be partial to the sweet sweet taste of circuit boards.

7) NES scarf
Warm your neck with the pixilated image of Mike Tyson in Punch Out. The knitter responsible also made a Mega Man 2 scarf and a really good Mario mushrooms and stars effort, all of which sold pretty quickly. Keep your eye on her Etsy.com store and maybe you’ll be next to snag a one-off retro scarf.

8) BZZZZZ!!!
How many volts can a Pikachu take before it bursts into flames? To find out, intrepid researchers strapped a dead one to a pole and plugged it into the mains. At least, that’s what we think is going on here. If you have any better explanations, let us know.
