Nice article. Real glad I'm not one of those angry women who takes everything negative about girl-gamers to heart. Or believe that I have to totally rape the battlefield to prove that I'm worthy of owning a console and calling myself a gamer. I think this has to be one of the best explanation of how it's hard to be a girl-gamer as explained by a dude.

one last thing to add to the list. it was a group of girls that ruined our hopes of playing a full metal gear solid game as solid snake on the ps2. they wanted a younger character so instead we got raiden, that really sucked. thanks a lot. id prefer solid snake even if he was a pile of bones and ashes than that he she raiden. by the way leavemealone, stop being biased about us men. you know when i hear that women will rule over video games, i got pissed because if they did, that would be it for video games. video games would soon cease to exist since there would not be hardcore gamers left to lift them up. now in comparison, who buys more games, men or women? the answer is men since hardcore gamers can't stop at one, they must get more and more at a pretty frequent rate, like at least 2 games a month. and girls can go over 6 months with one. by that time ive already completed metal gear solid 4 like multiple times and i unlocked almost everything on it, and ive already have 5 other games collecting dust next to it.

assassinS17 i agree with you. look at WOW (World of Warcraft), i heard people call it mmorpg (mostly men online role playing as girls.) i think this was on another article, and that explains why the population of girls in games are high, because their not girls. some of them are those wierd old men who like boys. pheonix_wings, im not saying that there are no female hardcore gamers, im just saying there are more male hardcore gamers compared to female hardcore gamers. i try to have a decent conversation with a girl for any game and sometimes it ends up with them wanting a game i would have never played if i was not with them like nintendogs, but thats only the under the young girls that usually annoy me when they screech. i know some girl gamers, but they are still playing mario party 8 at their slumber parties (i happened to be in the locker next to them) but i got bored of that game several months ago since that's not hardcore at all. i just have never ever had a decent conversation about a game with a girl. they either like it or not, and that's all they want to say in a game conversation with me.
