3 was to 2 as 5 is to 4. Therefor it's more forgetable and memory doesn't glorify the game in the same way as the average persons minds covered 2 in glory and nostalgic memories.
1 was kind of a birth to the genre so it has that going for it. What does 3 have over all the rest?
It's kind've depressing Call of Duty 4 took all the fame from previously Great Call of Duty's ( i.e, United Offensive for the PC. ), and smothered it's fame in previous games faces with just a Perk System and some customization.
That's interesting. I wonder why the 4th edition to a series is the best in many cases? Does it take 4 games for the developers to get a good grip on what makes the series great? Good article! I enjoyed it.
