You're playing a racing simulator that mirrors real life immaculately. Remember not to panic - ask anyone in NASCAR - racing is not actually difficult. Anyone can do it. First figure out if this is one of those games that makes you tap on the brake before going around a turn or if you can just tape down the acceleration button. • If your car has a gun mounted on the hood, awesome!
• Hitting the gas at the moment before the start light turns from yellow to green gives you a speed boost, much like the effect yellow lights have in real driving.
• Short of you dying in a blazing knot of twisted metal, there is nothing that a well trained pit crew can't fix.
• It's a perfectly legitimate racing tactic to attempt to kill your opponents before they finish.
