Beautiful Katamari's intro lives up to the series' reputation for quirkiness. A bit of the imagery is recycled, but there's plenty of new oversaturated psychedelia to keep your heart brimming with joy. Don't get caught thinking that this is just a long series of candy-colored non-sequiturs. Beautiful Katamari has a story to tell, a story that was written in the stars and speaks to the love that lives in the center of the cosmos and nourishes us all. Especially the dancing red pandas with rainbows shooting out of their asses.
