This was funny for me because I am on the other side of that fence. My guy friends get bitched at all the time for being online too much and generally are not told a girl is in the group or it would be worse. Only a couple of them have girls that actually play too or don't mind. I, on the flip side, have yet to find a guy who is cool with how much I play or who will play with me. Incidentally, most of my female friends think I'm nuts for playing and in no way see the point. And don't let me start taling Warcraft around them...oh hellz no. They immediately do the head shake and eye roll when I express my pride in having a level 80 resto druid that F'n rocks! LOL They just don't understand.

Well i'm happy my girlfriend kind of likes games. She's playing through World at War, Uncharted and Bioshock at the moment. Not too bad :)

Meh, none of that stuff is actually something you shouldn't say. It's really a matter of what stance you're taking. If you're really apologetic, then yes, she's going to argue. If you basically say, "Hey, I'm playing a game, and I'm not gonna listen to your bullshit right now," she's still gonna be pissed, but she'll respect you.
That's what is important.

I very lucky that My girl took up videogames after we started dating. And now we have our own house so I get my own man cave room with 2 tvs so she can sit next to me and play too. She LOVES anything Animal Crossing.

I am so glad I'm not like this. I'm also glad that no one I closely associate myself with is like this. However, I've got my principles. If there's something important that needs to be done or discussed and he's in there gaming, then I am going to get just a little peeved...

Red--you must be single, or horribly deluded, or have a girlfriend with no spine, because I can't think of a single woman that would honestly respect her man after having that said to her lol

I'm really not kidding, and my girlfriend is too stubborn to consider her spineless. Sometimes she's too stubborn...

Anyway, I'm not saying that all every guy needs to do is just be a complete douche to their girlfriend. Just make it known that you're not going to bend over backward to please the other person just because they don't like you playing games. It's our (gamers) hobby, and I dunno about you, but I'm sure as hell not about to give that up just because someones starts whining about it.
