@howetzer Its true that PS3 has gotten good games THIS year, but I was talking about throughout this generation. PS3 has ramped up this year, but before it was rather lacking. I see that he mentioned a game that isnt even out yet.
Exclusives aren't silly are they. Nintendos first party games are the best on their system and the same goes for Sony and to an extent MS as well.If MS allowed Epic,I know technically a third party but the three game IP is published by MS so it's as exclusiove as anything)the kind of time Sony allows devs then we'd maybe see the 360 pushed as hard as PS3 and making games just as good looking etc.
Exclusives should be a showcase for the console they're on-showing all of what's possible and Sony do this best. Maybe it's because MS don't have as many in house devs/studios and want more market share that the games are more rushed out than elsewhere but, still, it would be nice if the next Gears/Halo looked more like the Epic bullshots than just a little better than the prevuios outing, wouldn't it?
AC2 was shown by Sony because of the connectivity with PSP and /Sony wanted to show this still happenung-likewise Ubi so no money will have changed hands will it.
On the whole, though, E3 is a press jumket which just wastes cash and doesn't even seem to impress the media anyway. Scrap the whole bloody thing and spare us the lead up months of leaks and guesses and the three week hang over dissecting who "won" something you cannot win.
nik41507, don't you think that maybe living in LA your whole life actually disqualifies you from critiquing the air and traffic quality relative to other cities and states? :P
I used to use my PS3 for web browsing when my pc was broken - shame it doesnt support adobe flash seeing as VIRTUALLY EVERY WEB SITE USES IT, rendering the ability to browse moot! At least M$ didn't spend most of it's time talking about figures and stuff people dont care about, unlike Sony who, in addition to showing a lots of lovely coloured charts and sales figures (does ANYONE care?) devoted most of its time to bigging up the PSP! again, does anyone care? it's as if they're admitting defeat in the home-console market. Sony are comitted to a 10 year life/value span? well the ps3 has been out for 3 years already and hasnt started to be value for money yet. no 'killer/must-have' games out (imo). 360 is by far the better gaming console, even if i do have to pay £40 a year to play with friends online, at least i know people with a 360.
