Personally, and remark, PERSONALLY I don't give a damn about Halo. I've played the first Halo and Halo 3 and I think that the graphics are just plain, and the hole experience to the game feels just like any other shooter. I won't buy Halo ODST, it's one of those games I can live without.
Maybe it's because they haven't renewed the formula, but perhaps they haven't becaus all the Halo fans love it just the way it is. Good for them. I'll be getting Uncharted 2 as soon as it comes out. Now THAT'S a new perspective on gaming!

This was my first Halo game and I enjoyed it a lot. I didn't really know anything about it other than how awesome the Plasma Sword was, but I was still able to enjoy the universe and the story. Plus the cool detective style music was amazing!! I loved finishing the flashback missions so I could hear more of it!!

I really liked the music and atmosphere of ODST. It's definitely a change from the run-and-gun of Halo 3.

I disagree with the last one, legendary on ODST was a walk in the park compared to Halo 3.

The last one failed and the others i didn't give a shit about. Fireflight is not that great, halo 3s is superior to fireflight no matter which way u look at it

While PS3 is an excellent console with a number of exclusive great games like Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid, and my personal favorite, LittleBigPlanet. I would suggest to you to purchase a Xbox 360 to really get your money's worth.
For one, 360 has a better online game network. And though PS3 may have free online gaming, the evolution and quality of it's online network and gaming is not nearly as advanced and developed as the 360. And with Facebook, Last FM, and Twitter joining forces with Xbox Live, it would prove wise to go with the 360. Especially if you have friends. Xbox Live has more online users to game with and it's selection of online games are better than PS3's. However, that is my opinion.
It's all a matter of opinion and desire on your part though. For example, with Blu Ray slowly dominating DVD, PS3s can play Blu Rays and are cheaper than a majority of Blu Ray players, so that's a nice bonus. On the other hand, 360 tends to be more involved with their users, from my personally experience.
Both are excellent consoles with their pros and cons and should both be considered before purchasing one or the other, but if you'd like a personal opinion, I'd say go with the 360. That's your best bet for the most fun.

What? Halo 3's voice acting was better then ODST's. ODST's was super cheesy. Also, I like Halo 1's music best, but they all have awesome music.

If you notice that as the rookie that it has kind of a free roam type of deal. Which also allows a player to mess around as the other finds the mission becon. Like 3 people go around fuckin up some brutes and finding secrets that also open up weapon storages, and one of them decide to search for the mission. Either way as the rookie you can also have many routes than just one to play the game.
I did like searching the city for the audio messages and opening up storage areas that had the upgraded smg and magnum. Usually I never use the needler but when your out of options you find out that the needler is really useful against brutes. It seems all the guns had their own type of ways to be used.
The game was awesome but is even better with a group of people.

Great review..
Was a bit negative about the game first, but now i understand the storyline a bit more. After playing it a second time I thought it was a great game. Also Firefight is a great addition, but the makers didnt put a lot of effort in it.. All they did was put in maps and waves every now and then.. no creativity further IMO.. I mean, go crazy with it.. like some kind of boss every now and then.. like 10 hunters at the same time.. keeps people going..
Correct me if im wrong, cause i didnt get further than wave 4 or 5, but thats because i was getting bored of firefight :p

This game is awesome, but trying to do the Vidmaster Endure drives me and my friends insane! and i like the idea of pelicans and how bout so extra marines to help you sometimes make it like an even more real war.
