The true reincarnation of the comic book store owner, this guy is store policy at every Gamestop and EB. Some rumors say the franchise has its own factory that makes these guys. Resembling Jamie from Mythbuster with a glandular problem, these guys are snobbish experts on everything closely related to games.
Having to deal with parents and grannies who don't know the difference between an Xbox and an Atari, it's understandable how these guys became the way they are. However, they continue to treat the most hardcore gamer as a lost boy they must guide to salvation. As self-proclaimed connoisseurs, they know exactly which games are good and bad, praise Windows Vistas, and snicker at all who believe otherwise. "You're buying THAT?!" Makes buying and selling used games just not worth it.

Grat article GR, I am 15, and I don't think that I fit into any of these categories, however, surely the most irritating sterotypes of all is a 360 owner, as before a non-360er even begins the sentence "You know the annoying thing about Halo..." they seem to just band together in a sort of insane orgy of Billy G love, until the bigger man, that being the non-360er, decides to humour them subtlely. Oh and by the way, I don't hate the 360, just many of it's gormless gamers.

What about guys on CODthat take it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too seriously, you kill 'em as their planting the bomb, they leave the game, send you messages saying screw you NOOB!!!!, then up the basement stairs to cry in their mum's arms.

Wii is ok, graphic really suck...

but honestly, ps3 or Xbox,there both great.
I have a 360, but there both cool.

i don't like wii nor ds.
i am a sony man, i was raised by sony and we all know wii is not a real gaming console.
as for ds, i still cant believe it's competing against psp, ds gaming really suck and ds is like a piece of a fashionable accessory.

oke first up , I have a ps3 and im PROUD!
and.......well , i got a wii for christmas...wich i was pretty sad about . BUT , there is hope for unhappy wii owners , MADWORLD ! and thats problably the only good reason to even OWN a wii , and that was it XD

Ok I'll admit that I was one of those who bought Steel Battlion and its' massively oversized controller and if I had the skills of a great architect I would configure into a cockpit of some kickass anime mecha. However I'm not one those have played the same game or games since 1992. No mustache for me. Though obsessed with anime and cosplaying I'm a gamer that progressed from the original Atari all the way on up to my 360. And before people start bashing me for being an old timer let me simply state that I'm only 21. Since these categories define almost every gamer on the planet...Is there any ground zero that we "Real Gamers" can call our own?

Christ, I hate the RPG snobs. I never got what was so great about RPGs, especially JRPGs. There's only 3 RPGs I'm a fan of: Chrono Trigger, FFX and Xenosaga. Pretty much anything Square made after the merger sucks, and most JRPGs are same-old same-old.

Most of these people are easy to laugh at when you meet them, except for one thing: We all get accused of being these by technophobes! I quit playing games for a week cause I hoped to earn a little respect from a friend. Not a chance. I game, there for I suck.
