Ok first of all, i really like all of the comments made by my fellow commentors and gamers. And to all my comrades i hope you can sympathise with me because this has to be said. If you believe the crap spewed by mainstream media about games in general, NEVER TOUCH ANYTHING THAT EVEN RELATE TO A GAME EVER!!! YOU DO NOT DESERVE TO CALL YOURSELF A GAMER!!! The mainstream media does not know what in the hell they are talking about!! They don't play games!! Listen to sites like Games Radar!! They know what the hell they are talking about!! Games Radar plays games!! Games Radar=GOOD Mainstream Media= STUPID AND MISLEADING!

Okay ill admit this even though i dont wanna. Those video clips of the news people talkin bout mass-effect made me really fuckin angry. I mean i played that game for 50+ hours and until reading this article i didnt know it had a sex scene in it. Also these people know you cant buy an M game if your not 17 right?
Also beleive me dont worry bout the xbox old people cause the truth is that that virus that killed your interactive pivture box (computor) came from a porn site your 11 year old was on when they said they were doing "homework" and you got drunk and beat your wife"
Last point is that has anyone ever looked at the FACT that violence is actually down among teens these days.

Great article. I like Glenn Beck but even he is a completely ignorant person when it comes to games, much like the rest of the media.
The clip of the news cast on mass effect was hilarious because one of the reporters actually admits to not playing since the atari and pac-man. then to spew out nonsense of s game that they are 20 years behind the times on is hilarious.
when will they learn that games are no different then books or movies (they are more like books I would say, movies are less experienced then the other 2). why aren't they trying to keep unsuitable books and movies out of children's hand? oh yeah, because some authors write books for adults while all developers have the elementary school kids on their minds when they make an immersive narrative about gang violence or war. because they are childrens subjects, right?

Also at the end when the one women askes "Watching this makes me feel so old; whatever happened to pong and Atari?"
35 f'n years, that's what happened.
Look at a bloody human body and all the changes it goes through in 35 years.
In that time, we went from the Vietnam war being 3 years from over to Windows Vista selling over 1 million copies. (Damn you Vista!)

wow i feel like a genius compared to some of these people.....nice article and it pointed out everything i hate about non gamers who don't know what the hell they are talking about. I mean really? Grand theft auto 4 is not about "killing hos" and for that matter no game is. Why do you think there is a big M rating on the esrb section on the cover. if the parents dont think its appropriate then the kid doesnt get it. but when the media tries to slander the good name of video games so it wont be bought well that is bullcrap. jeez i hate the media.....

Oh dear, this is just like back in the day where "COMIC BOOKS WILL ROT YOUR CHILDRENS BRAINS!!!", And of course "ROCK AND ROLL COMES FROM THE PITS OF HELL!!!" Oh well, those media forms waited it out, and we shall too. Now watch as my generation is having children and we too find some new media outlet to hate. I certainly hope not.
