Halo - hate it. Played it for about 10 seconds. Never again.

Pokemon - moderately enjoyed the series since its beginning, but occasionally lose interest in it.

The rest: don't really care either way.

I'd like to point out that the criticism of Guitar Hero/Rock Band is very unfair.

If you read the negative "reviews" posted you'll see that all the posters are musicians that don't play video games. They're basically luddites that feel that the game is "threatening" to them in some way and somehow discourages their kids from playing real instruments. Not one of them played the game themselves. In fact, there is strong evidence that the exact opposite is true. Sales of rock instruments like electric guitars (especially cheap ones) have spiked since Guitar Hero was released. Anecdotally, I've heard a number of stories about kids picking up gutars after playing Guitar Hero.

All of the other games on this list are the subject of legitmate disputes among GAMERS, but the people attacking Guitar Hero don't play video games at all.

I'd also point out that many of these games are niche games, like Space Giraffe and Pokemon. The "they suck" side is vastly larger than the "they're aweseome" side becasue these games are delibertly designed to appeal to a small "hardcore" niche. Dynasty Warriors is the classic example of this.

Halo was better than any other console FPS when it was released. The only really legitimate criticism of Halo was/is the general criticism that the control scheme (gamepad) was unsuitable for FPS gameplay (vs. mouse + keyboard). The mouse + keyboard people are right, gamepad control of FPS' sucks.

I damn near shat myself i was laughing so hard at the 'jesus-is-savior' article. Most of these i am closer to the middle of bar than on the extremes, except for assassins creed, that game was 100% beast.

with what rtechie said about how the people who were bashing music games, and how they are probably upset that less people will play real instruments because of the game. i started playing guitar hero a year or two ago, and although im sad to say it took me this long, but about a week ago i went out to buy a guitar to learn how to play, and i probably never would have actually gotten around to trying out a real guitar if i had not first played guitar hero.

I saw no flaws in Assasin's creed except the ending I mean you are stuck in one spot and why cant we play as this other guy?

Dead Rising is one of my all time favorites. I think it would have gotten 10's all around if not for two specific issues. How easy it is to be interupted when talking to Otis on the radio, and the near mind-numbingly bad AI survivors. Everyrthing else really is small patatos in comparison. The small text really isn't THAT bad.

I love assasins creed so much and can't wait for the 2nd and 3rd

I hate halo because it hates me. No joke. I shoot someone in the head, charge him and punch him, he doesn't die, no instead he punches me and I die even though I have full health...

The most notable game so far is Doom & Doom II; Word!!!

in my opion i liked assassians creed even if it was a bit dry, but halo is one of my favorites. it's not a pile of shit, but it's not jesus sauce either it moderatly enjoyable mainly becauses bungie updates it unlike most companys that forget about their games in a year

Out of all those games I've only played assisin's creed, pokemon and halo. The first really dissapointed me to the point where is would have pissed me off if I'd actually bought it... but I didn't my sister did, so it's her problem. Halo is fun, thats all there is to it, the multiplayer is really quite seriously fun, whether ur online, over a LAN or around a TV screen, Its fun, and the single player isnt bad either. Pokemon is a bloody legend, yes they did use it as a cash machine but they only managed that cuz the game was actually good, I wouldent touch my pokemon cards, Tazzo's, books, videos or movie today, quite simply because I dont have any of them anymore, but I still play the game on my old gameboy colour now and again, and I still enjoy it... I'd even go as far as saying I find it more enjoyable now as a cynical 18 year old than I did back then as a shiny eyed, innocent(ish) 10 year old, just melts away all the bitterness.

Epic Fail! Gamesradar FTW! There I covered both sides lol.

Yea I have liked what I played so far in Assassin's Creed but haven't gone back into it for some reason. I have a bitter taste in my mouth for Dead Rising though since I saved my character after dying like twice only to find out that you don't restart the game normally, wtf! My friend says, "So I loaded up my Dead Rising saved game and totally killed some zombies today with a soccer ball!" I'm like LOAD?! whawha wha what!? I like the game but man the damn bosses and Otis the janitor. Stop calling me in the middle of zombie rush!

Oh and I am a sucker to Halo just because I had so many funtastic matches back in college. The stories are pretty sweet as well.

Assasins Creed is Fun, but after you beat the game there isn't much you can do.

dude nice comments!!!

i don't think that the christian reviewers even actually played the games. How some one can consider something so pure and fun like pokemon or GH/RB as evil is beyond me. I think that with my experience as a catholic and a rampant gamer, i can say that those reviews were complete BS

The PC version of Space Giraffe has a better training system and another 100 levels (with a less in-your-face version of the Neon backgrounds). It has a free demo version just like the XBox 360 game too, so anyone can try the new PC version and see how they like the new calmer graphics.
