i am really really suprised socom isnt on this list. more people are in the hate it catagory but those love it poeple are really hardcore lovers. me i like it but crazy love.
Of all the games I've played here(haven't played Killzone, might like it if I wanted PS3, and I haven't played Space Giraffe, though it sounds awesome.), I am on the Lovers side, but with minor criticisms. Assassin's creed was beautiful and fun, if slightly repetitive. I still play it every now and again. GH/RB is fun, a great party game, but I hate having to actually get songs. It just annoys me not being able to play the fun songs right away. Dead Rising is one af my all-time favorites. The only Bothersome things were addressed here, being the small text and irritating save system. Still, great game in my opinion. I might as well get Halo out of the way now. I love it. It encompasses everything an FPS should be for me. I understand the things people may find wrong with it, but i don't mind them. and Pokemon... Having been loyal to the games for years, I honestly can't find anything worng with the games. the show... but the games are very fun, and I am looking forward to Platinum.
I'm on the "Pro" side of the Dead Space debates, or as I and numerous of my friends on Live have been calling it the last two days- [True]Resident Evil 5...
I think this article was amazing and show how opinions can look so damn funny. It is amazing how people get so heated over such a little thing. I love it though cuz it makes the world a hell of alot better!
Just one more thing. To anyone who hasen't read the Christian reviews, please do because it just proves my point even more. Seriously i am so happy we live in a world where we get to choose to agree or not to agree.
oh my CRIST! the link: Guitar Hero is Evil / Rock Band is of the Devil (Jesus-is-Savior.com)
pissed me the FUCK off. thats SO much bullshit and all these overley-religous people getting pissed over a game like GUITAR HERO! wow thats INCREDIBLE stupid, you will NEVER enjoy life thinking that EVERY fucking thing is from the devil
You guys are brilliant. How you come up with these thought-provoking top 7 features I'll never know. I tell a bunch of gamers about your site and top sevens. Hope you won't torture me for that. Keep them coming, I'm breathless for the next one.
that space giraffe stuff was really interesting (way more interesting than the predictable #1 spot), i'd never heard of it before so i found all those links really fascinating. to be honest it seems like the review, and the whole incident that proceeded it, probably did a lot more for the game than if it just got a good review to begin with. i know it wanted to make me play it.
Assassin's Creed: exelent graphics, nice gameplay element. But i played it and PC and control was very bad, and story/involvment/gameworld was average at best.
Guitar Hero/Rock Band: never got into it. personal reason.
KillZone 2: was good looking. But didn't recreat hot water.
Space Giraffe:?
Pokemon- as a gamer, anime watcher and 16/17 year old when it came out, this is an insult to me. So i never got into it. Meaby it is good, i wouldn't know
Dead Rising-never played
Halo: PC had, and has so much more to offert, FPS wise. you can't compare to an heavyweight like halflife 2.
don't tell The_Lurcher to shut up. i agree with him 100%.
as for the article, HAHA on the religious site. and, i've got no problems with any of the games on the list. except for Pokemon. i think they should just let the franchise die already...
cool top 7. A good idea that was a good read.
I fall in the middle of the halo 3 argument. I dislike it with a firy passion that melts the very ground is should be thrown upon, but I also enjoy it like a dying fish to cool flowing water. Also, I thought AC (assissans creed was good just repetive)
seriously, if Halo did not have the flood included, or the mission "Cortana" i would consider giving it a 9.6 or something. but because of those moronic "flood" zombies and that uber depressing mission, i only give it around 8.5. and yeah. the blue turtle shell... horrible idea
Interesting list. I'm surprised Final Fantasy wasn't on the list tho'.
Assassin's Creed - Typical Ubisoft game. Fantastic core design ruined by incredibly stupid decisions. (really? It's 2009 and they STILL haven't figured out skippable cutscenes? REALLY?)
Killzone 2 - I don't love it nor hate it. I just don't care about it at all. (I suppose that falls into the hate camp on the internets tho')
Pokemon - It was fantastic at the very start. I hate the new games and all the spinoff garbage.
Dead Rising - The least user-friendly game since Fallout? It takes hours and hours and probably one completion just to "get into it".
But when you do, it's actually pretty good. Still infuriating at times tho'.
Halo - I really liked Halo 1 when I got it on PC.
I absolutely hated Halo 3. (the equivalent of Assassin's Creed in shoot your good gameplay in the face design)
dead rising has you using a LAWNMOWER to kill Zombies, i Would Love any other game to come up with horror/comedy such as Dead Rising.
oh, i had to type Gaylord 12:3. WTF???
This will probably be rather uninteresting during the podcast, save for space giraffe, in that it's like "knuckles in sonic 3" to someone who lives in Texas, even if it is AUSTIN. HEY HEY, DIRECT QUOTATION, nice to seem highschool english is still as useful as it ever was while text presented in it is more useful than the whole experience.
Actually I love both Halo 3 and Killzone 2 cause I have both of the real next gen systems. However, I can find fault with both for instance Halo 3 maps suck compared to Halo 2 and in KZ2 ur guy aims to fuckin slow.
Deadrising: One of my top ten games simply cause I keep comin back to it for some simple zombie killing fun. I laugh when people complain about the save system because it was designed that way to emphasize the survival aspect of the game. Thats why you can only save in safe zones I mean come on what are supposed to do save in the middle of a crowd of zombies.
Pokemon: Only the original 150 where cool.
Assassain's Creed: I liked but it gets old fast and you never have a desire to replay it.
Space Girraf: what the hell was that.
