The best Halo 2 level?
Halo 2 was a great game. But did you know it’s missing one of the most epic levels ever? Check out the video below. It’s from a playable demo shown at E3 in 2003. NPC medics working on wounded soldiers add a lot of atmosphere to the level’s early area. But things really start picking up once you start holding off waves of enemies with a turret and start wreaking havoc with the Warthog, which is better known to some as a puma.

Missing Halo 2 scenes
The collector’s edition of Halo 2 came with a bonus DVD that revealed several cinematics that were never fleshed out into proper cut scenes for the final game. They give a lot of insight into the Covenant’s culture. Our favorite quote from the deleted cinematics: “A day’s ration says I do this in one cut.” If that line had made it into the final game, we’d be looking for an excuse to reference this moment at every possible opportunity. Quick, someone get us a loaf of bread and a knife. A day’s ration says we do it in one cut.
