The original Porygon, introduced in the first generation of Pokémon games, is mildly infamous. Pokémon garnered international headlines when the cartoon episode “Electric Soldier Porygon” gave entranced children across Japan seizures, thanks to a flashing blue and red background. When traded with an Upgrade, Porygon evolved into Porygon2, and now a new Dubious Disc evolves it yet again. Like previous incarnations, Porygon-Z's binary DNA allows it to react to its situation and change types on the fly, making it a flexible and powerful Pokémon in the right hands.
