condemned was fun to play. Tension does build up and you ocassionaly jump and yell WTF!. But... the story, as it develops just... kinda leaves you thinking... REALLY? It's like they had something great and then they just said, nah... not really.
In any case, most of these games i WANT to buy... but goddamn economy sucks. And that's not to say i don't have the money to buy all of the ones i want... it's just i don't have the freaking TIME. I haven't finished persona3 yet... and i already bought p4. And haven't finished Bioshock either. And disgaea2 hasn't been finished yet either. Between awesome RPGS and freaking fun FPS (Bad Company multiplayer ftw) i haven't had time to finish what i like the most! How can you guys expect us to keep up/divide our time between awesomeness (videogames), work, AND/OR school! it's insane i tell you. Plus... if you want a girlfriend your schedule is gonna be a complete mess.
And that ends my rants at articles that (repeatedly) tell you to buy games... even if you don't have the time to play them all.
i'm still digging it... cuz i'd want other people to play/buy/support some of the games/devs that make it possible for us to have some well deserved entertainment.
Hey, what do you know... i might have got the reason why this kind of articles exist to begin with!
i have some of these games i dont have ps3 or xabox360 but i dont have job so i cant get some these games its a wonder that may mom let me get madworld cause im 14 and i cant find canus curse =(

GOD i want Valkrye Chronicals. played at my friends house, BEST GAME EVER!. but i dont own a ps3 and i dont think buying a new system for one game is worth it
I own Eternal Sonata, and I have to say it's one of the best RPGs I have ever played. The entire aspect of mixing music with the story is wonderful. I hope they make a sequel that works with other genres of music outside of just classical. Blues, Rock, Heavy Metal, Punk, and even hip-hop would be great source material. (Maybe not hip-hop so much, but the others for sure.) I can only hope that more RPG fans pick it up.
I think the thing about why Mad World had such bad sales is, anyone that might have been interested in it already sold their Wii months ago. People who want a good selection of mature games have had more than enough time to figure out that those sort of games aren't Nintendo's priority.
I have to disagree with Link's Crossbow Training blurb. Yes, it's a really fun game, though you can beat it in about an hour, and yes people should play it. But people should play it without the stupid Wiimote Zapper.
Great article, great list. I can tell from the games I have played that I should pick up the other games I haven't played on this list.
I've played a lot of these, and I just added several that I haven't to my Gamefly queue. A couple of these got some terrible reviews, which mostly kept me from playing them. Web of Shadows is a game I likely would have played if it had decent reviews. After the wet turd that was Spider-Man 3, though, I didn't want another crappy Spidey game.
And yeah, lots of these games seem cool, but there's only so much time in the day. That's my biggest barrier. I can barely get through the fallouts, oblivions, mass effects, etc.
There's no reason a game that received a 6, 7 or 8 can't be on our list. We're not arguing that all of these games are masterpieces... we are NOT counting down 50 Okamis.
These are 50 "overlooked" games. They're certainly not perfect, though a few come close. Many contain serious flaws... but all are worthy of more attention, respect and credit than they currently receive. Like I said in the intro, if you're done with all the blockbusters, think about giving one of these a shot.
Also! We're definitely not asking you to rush out and purchase all of these. The economy and the limitations of time affect us, too, you know!
Simply use this article as a handy guide if you DO happen to find yourself with some extra cash and some extra gaming hours to fill. Don't play Dark Sector instead of Gears of War, for instance; play Dark Sector if you finish Gears of War and need another fix.
Dark Sector doesn't seem worth even $5. Okay, that's wrong. Almost any game is worth $5. But this game lacked any kind of original thinking. Throwing a glaive and beading enemies is boring after five throws.
