I remember X Men on the mega drive had an opening theme similar to some 90's pop act. It went something like "dont go blaming your emotions, lay your love onto me", could just be coincidence though.
As you can see, the Mega Man X series completely went downhill after X4. Some of the music and things about X6 were good, but not too much more. Apparently they ran out of names for the bosses and had to resort to the worst naming scheme of all time.
Man i love the Alice in Chains song, its also in the Street Fighter II animated movie where ken is driving, its a really good song. this is an interesting article, i just wonder how long it took to put this article together
Brilliant, Mr Antista, your 'serious journalizm' knows no bounds. This is why I come to Gamesradar every day.
On a side note, imagine if we were talking about film scores ripping off, say, sitcom themes. The media would be all over it. I guess we should be grateful those sith lawyers at Apple and Lucasarts haven't swarmed all over our favourite hobby just yet.
I still think leaving Earthbound unreleased on the Virtual Console is fairly stupid. Yes, the game has references and music... but it's already out! How can you get sued for re-releasing a game that's already out?
I couldn't even hear the resemblance between the 'Your Name, Please' tracks and the Moonside tracks...
Despite my rant about Earthbound, nice article! I'll never be able to play Chrono Trigger again...
another reason proving that earthbound's soundtrack was ahead of its time. Other games emulated other songs whilst earthbound sampled them straight up.
One of my friends told me that the Mirrors Edge intro song (Still Alive) was a rip of 'Its me against the world'
I have no clue who the band/group is as I'm not into that stuff, but its worth a look up.
