I love music, playing, listening everything.
I am a huge fan of GR of course, and I write books. not good ones though. I believe that I am a fantastic archer (screw guns). I also like to make and watch Machinama. But my favorite is the archery. flipping fantastic.
Art and working out. But, a lot of my art focuses around games, so maybe that shouldn't count? I'm going to school for 3D art, animation and what not with the goal of getting into game development. But overall, I paint, sculpt, sketch, often times without a thought about games.
And working out is something I had to do. Like many gamers, I was a really skinny kid for most of my life. So I finally got tired of it and started lifting weights. Now I look intimidating!! XD
My other hobby is historical fencing. No, not that one with plastic toy swords or sport fencing with foil swords. The real, one on one fight with genuine medieval steel swords (although they´re not sharp) according to ancient fencing manuscripts. Besides it´s really fun it has also some minor drawbacks. First is that my fingers sometimes take too much beating and i can´t hold controller or a handheld cause my hands are shaking. And the second one is that I can´t really enjoy ANY fantasy (or even medieval) movie, novel or game which has swordfighting in it. It´s really a pain to see some sword-bashing guys and know everyone is considering that the REAL THING! Recently I had to stop playing Fire Emblem for GameCube because the swordfights were so terrible. And I love the Fire Emblem series.
Awww, you guys actually want to know more about me? I guess you figured out that I'm a sucker for sweettalking huh?
I have an unfortunate hobby that I like to call "Chronic Eclecticism". Let me explain the basic concept of it. I'll get introduced to some sort of activity that blows my mind and just to experience some sort of fleeting satisfaction or impress a choice few of people I practice obsessively until I literally burn out and plateau. After I overload from no noticeable improvement, I pick up said new hobby, look at it with a slight pout like a little kid holding an overused toy and say "I don't want it anymore...." while dropping it and moving on to something else to cure my incessant boredom. Rinse, wash and repeat endlessly because we all know damn well that time is cyclical. Several years and cycles later, here I am pretty decent at a lot of things, but a master of none. Thus my chronic eclecticism hobby continues....
You know what's bittersweet about it all? The same sequence of events applies to gaming as well.
I play football (or "soccer") for the Tranmere Rovers youth team. It was kind of weird how I was signed up. I was on holiday in Spain and I was playing footy with some of my mates. And then, a Tranmere scout came up to me and one of my mates and just happened to give us his number to call. I was amazed. You would be if a scout from your favourite team randomly found you in a random country.
I love playing Airsoft! When I play I even wear the CoD4 USMC uniform just like Sgt. Paul Jackson.....XD And to let other people know what that sport is. Its a sport wich you use automatic BB guns with plastic bullets. You may think it doesn't hurt when you get hit but think again because they're more powerful than paintball guns. And if you don't wear protection, they can leave marks on your skin.......XP
P.S. I use the M4 Carbine and the colt 45. The name of my airsoft team is B-Company.......
Well one of my hobbies is illegal, but it includes a pipe and some illicit products grown from UV lamps (heh.) Other than that, my hobby is pretty much listening to music. I listen to way more than one genre, and I'm not saying that lightly. I have over 8000 songs, and it takes up a large chunk of storage on my HDD. I guess you could say "music appreciation" but that sounds gay. I can also be found brawling with my friends while not loafing around playing video games, but I don't exactly know if getting my nose broken or my arm turned into ground beef from a guy who can bench almost 200 pounds, though is a hobby.
I play real Guitar, not real Guitar Hero. It's pretty sweet, it has not 5 buttons but SIX real nickle wound strings! Not only that, but you can actually make each string vibrate making a sound instead of moving a flipper up and down!!! Also there is a port on mine that allows a cable to go from it to an amplifier which plays all the sounds I make by pressing different combinations of strings down! I can make it disorted or clean, or have and echo or delay! Now I know this can't be plugged into a PS3 or 360, but this guitar has gotten me laid...
I really like to go exploring in the woods. And pushing down dead trees. You have no idea how satisfying it is to push down a 20 foot tree, although those ones are hard to find.
