mgs4 for sure. i waited outside for it like a nerd. then i beat the story in one day and replayed it like 4 times in 4 days. i then talked about it so much to everybody that i know even thought they have xbox and have no clue what i am talking about. i eventually developed a man crush on snake and his sweet mustache

Hmmm. Most geeked out moment about a game...Well honestly it was probably when I beat Sly Cooper 3. I was in love with that series, and when I beat the third one, and found out there was no hope EVER for a sequel, I...well I cried. I actually cried. For like half an hour.

I geek out to every game i like, ya know reading backstories, knowing every miniscule detail ect. butttttttttt, the worst was when final fantasy 8 came out, i was in 6th grade at the time so i was young and naive to common real life courtesy. Basically i emulated squall down to perfection, being a cold dick, (whatever) wore black pants, a mutalated black jacket that i made to resemble his, i grew my hair out and tried to styl it ike his, (didnt look to bad though) i even whent as far by giving my self a real life scar across my face like his, (dont worry its faded now). Looking back on that whole ordeal im amazed that i have friends. ahhhhh good times, good times, lulz

Monster Hunter. Just enough action to interest me, just enough MMO to keep me f*cking hooked. In my 15 years of video gaming, I have NEVER been hooked on a game, until MH in '04. When I was capable of 15 min solo Lao runs w/o bds or bda (anyone who knows what that means has probably been in the same situation I was) I figured it was time to stop. Plus, they never released another one on a Sony home console :-(

Oh, and the flashback scene in MGS4 made me cry. God, that whole series was badass.

When I beat Golden Sun 1, I ran around the house yelling, "I won, I won!!!" then (I was 10 at the time, don't judge me) I started to cry because such a good game was over. It was only my fifth game, I think. And the first one on my Game Boy Advance. I really should replay the Golden Sun games before Golden Sun DS comes out.

Wait, now that I think about it, I didn't cry, I just got incredibly sad. It'd be funnier if I'd cried, though.

Tough one, but I would have to say it was the first Guitar Hero. Loving the real instrument, when I heard about the game from my friend I literally got an erection. I went to the nearest GameStop as soon as I could, and pre-ordered the damn thing. I loved the game but was disappointed it was nothing like real guitar.Close runner up was Okami though. The realistic graphics looked amazing, but i like the painting graphics better.

I just came back from the hospital after having a hernia operation, which sucked hard, they paralized my right leg by accident, so i couldnt lift it for a few days, anyway i was in alot of pain, laughing made me cry, i was living off about a 30 painkillers a day and my parents bought me RE4 Wii editon, with my own money mind you, and it was painful to play cause of the stupid wii motion controls but i didnt sleep for a few days cause i loved it so much.

Oh God. Easy one. When I found out that Bioshock was coming to PS3, the only next-gen console I have, I shat myself. I wouldn't stop talking about it, and didn't even mind aving to wait a year for it.

final one has to be f-zero gx when on one weekend i beat the whole story mode except for one level on the hardest setting

ohh nowaittheres another one, my brother was havinga pokemon tournament on the saturday and you needed lvl 100 pokemon, i played all through friday+saturday morning, i entered with only 24hours of playtime

Mass Effect, without a doubt, i started talking about it so much that my whole family told me too, and i quote, "SHUT THE HELL UP ABOUT YOUR STUPID VIDEOGAMES!!!" It deserved it though (:

Probably the time I met Tetsuya Mizuguchi (creator of Rez, Space Channel 5 and my beloved Sega Rally) at Atari Live. I shook his hand and started gushing about the fact that I probably wouldn't be what I'm doing today if it wasn't for his games. I met him again later in the bar and he "remembered me". Oops. We actually had a much better conversation after that - he's a very nice (and understanding) man. But he did say that while he was making games for the Saturn he wished he was making PSone games instead. That hurt my inner Sega fan quite hard, I can tell you. But yes - moral here is if you see one of your heroes, take a few breaths, compose yourself, and try not to look like an idiot.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Yeah I know, fail. But at the time the only thing I could think was 'so many awsome marvel characters in one place, what could possibly go wrong?' Then when i found out that i would be able to pay as Deadpool I went nuts! At this point i was crapping myself with anticipation and on launch day i went to the shop and bought the game for my trusty old PS2, got home and... WHAT THE ****!!! I have to play through half the game to unlock my favourite character, Deadpool and alas, the game was fairly mediocre anyway... I was so dissapointed, but hey, its still not gonna stop me from getting the sequel, BRING ON THE MARVEL CIVIL WAR!!!

Definatly God of War, I would say to my friends hey I'm thinking of getting chains tattooed to my forearms...kinda like Kratos chains! Which would result in around 10 face palm slaps. Then I would try and grow a little beard on my chin and shave my head in order to look like the badass himself, I would start working out and play the games over and over and over, comparing everything to god of war. In fact I still do it today, we were all watchin gladiator the other day, and part of the soundtrack sounded alot like part of God of Wars and I was like "OMGZ GOD OF WAR SOUNDTRACKZ SO SIMILARS!" They just stared at me with visceral anger...

I didn't get the tattoos by the way...I got a tribal one instead. I remember thinking what about when I'm 60 something and I looked down at my arms and see these chains, if I shout "ARES" or "ATHENA...YOU CONSPIRE AGAINST ME?!" I doubt it would have the same effect...

I'd say that the most i've ever geeked out over a game was when I got my Xbox 360, I kept telling my friends and family about how great the next gen graphics would be, up to the point that I forgot to buy any games with the Xbox, whoops.

My nerdiest moment would have to be, Final Fantasy 7... back when i was in high school, i would sit in class just generally failing at school because i was busy, daydreaming about FF7... There were times when i actually held myself like cloud and walked like him. haha. WWCD.
I would read out the on screen dialogue and have voices for each character...yep.
I also once got my old-girlfriend to do some, She actually enjoyed it.(i think).
I even wrote a continuation of the story in my old school books with illustrations and it was actually quite a good story.
haha.
So there is that, or there is the fact that i have a full sleeve tattoo of monkey island artwork. hahaha (no shit).
