Jesus freaking Christmas, Chapter 5 of the story mode in F-Zero GX on hard mode... Memorising the capsule locations was easy, but damn, to escape the place in just 40 seconds, sliding precisely across the tunnel into the tiny gaps between the doors while simultaneously getting - needing - each capsule for the boost energy to perma-boost... O_O

It took me months, it nearly broke my soul and I'm probably going to get arthritis from it one day, but I did it, finally, using up the time pretty much to the last millisecond.

And everything else in the game suddenly became easy afterwards. Master mode GP? Piece of cake.

Sonic the Hedgehog. I once spent 8 hours straight to get to the last level for the first time... I got to Dr R, I jumped........ it had froze mid jump. I literally cried, chucked the controlled at the TV, cracking the glass and shouted at it for half an hour. To this day I've never been able to look at that stupid blue thing without my eyes watering and a strange feeling to punch something.

The angriest I have ever been was when I bought Stranglehold for 360. The demo was so fun but the actual game was just so... average.

i have two.
the first wasn't really "controller-throwing fury" but that was mostly because there wasn't a controller. it was the first version of Marluxia (the extremely cheap a**hole that is about 10 times harder than the final boss) in Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories. Anger Gauge? you tell me: i started that fight for the first time in summer of last year (2007 actually) i just beat it around christmas (2008).
the second one almost caused me to kill my televison. i remember playing through almost all of God of War 1 (on easy... sorry) and i hadn't saved in a while. i went in to fight Aries and wouldn't you know it; teh epic glitchzorz. i killed that family killing dyke and then my game freezes. as in unfixable by anything but restarting. that pissed me off. i couldn't play for a week. i came back, forgot to save, it did it again. i punched the wall. took me three more tries (with saves!) to finally get past this.

The Star Destroyer section on Force Unleashed was monumental fail. I've never yelled at a game so much in over 20 years of gaming.

I got pretty pissed if I died during the Team Rocket finales as a kid.

Now im a fan of the kickflip/heelflip moves on S.K.A.T.E, i can happily play the game without using much skill at all. So the part where Rob and Big want you to flip to grind some random rail made me want to go to L.A to personally kick thier ass for endorsing such a mind-fuckingly hard challenge.

My old computer's keyboard lost a few keys after I completely lost my sanity due to spawn-camping morons on Battle Field 1942. I then got to pay for a new keyboard. Out of my allowance.

Playing Midnight Club: Los Angeles. Sure it's fun racing in good looking cars but it gets infuriating racing against tough racers.

Trying to play Gears 2 online. Fugging mess.
Just a few hours ago smashed a one week old pad because of it, what a coincidence this is!

Good times.

The angriest I think I've gotten at a game, I think was one of the Armored Core games on PS2 (I think it was either 2 or Another Age). I was trying to beat the top guy in the Arena for the game, and absolutely could not kill him after many repeated attempts. It pissed me off so much that I straight up threw my PS2 controller into the floor, where it proceeded to bounce (carpet) out to the extent of its cable and eventually stop.

But wait, it gets better. I picked the controller back up and went into another try at beating the guy, and wouldn't you know I killed him on that try. The irony of it all, though, is that I had managed to bust my controller when I threw it into the floor, knocking one of the shoulder buttons used for strafing out of place and rendering it useless. I didn't realize it until after I had successfully won the match, though, because I never ended up strafing in that direction during the match after chucking my controller. And that is my story on how I busted a PS2 controller and then kicked ass at Armored Core.

As a side note, I did manage to fix the controller, and it's been with me ever since.

Advance Wars has always been my "bipolar" game.
Whenever it's my turn, I'm always calm, cool, and collected.
However, the minute the computer begins its turn, I switch gears and manage to come up with new and colorful curses so profane that it can make a potty-mouthed 8-year-old on Xbox Live blush!

When I first got my first system (N64) The first game was some scooby doo crap. It was so buggy and terrible and just pissing me off with getting hit in the face with dinosaur skeletons. It pushed me to the brink until my 4 or 5 year old self kicked a hole in the wall. This ended up with my parents taking my games away . They then began to not "believe" in games anymore.

Effing Earthworm Jim on the Sega Genesis. To this day I cannot navigate through the second half of "Down the Tubes" and it absolutely kills me.

I've had the damn game for fifteen years and I still haven't finished it because of that glass bubble.
