Hmm, probably that at Nintento's conference not only did they show trailers to some of the more hardcore Wii games, like DS: Extraction and The Conduit, but also announced not one, but two new Mario games and a new Metroid. Throw in the Wii-Motion Plus confirmed Zelda from Miyamoto's round-table, and this is looking like a good year to be a Nintendo fan.
I personally enjoyed nothing more than Carrie walking of stage. She walked back on again, but a decent game had been announced by then which stemmed my irritation.
Other than that I loved that Microsoft released a motion sensor control, secured some awesome exclusives, showed a avatar based racing game, and a music service and better video watching system. And then Sony went totally revolutionary - they released a motion sensor control secured some awesome exclusives, showed a avatar based racing game, and a music service and better video watching system.
Still with the pulse detector I think Nintendo were fairly confident in their ability to stay ahead of the curve...
The fact that almost all of the games I wanted new news on had NEW TRAILERS (except Gears 3 and 4, but that is/was just my version of a conspiracy theory) and some things that I wanted but thought would never happen (Crackdown 2) got officially announced, as well as some things that are just AWESOME new IPs that weren't even rumors before today.
Easily it was finding out that Alan Wake was wasn't dead from writer's block. It would have been Square Enix announcing that FFXIII would finally FINALLY be around by spring 2010, but then I translated that to the 33rd of Smarch in 2043. Damn your delays Squeenix.
We're getting a new Zelda on the Wii that is older and more mature than we have ever seen him. I cannot friggin' wait!
Also, I grew up listening to the Beatles cause they're my dad's favorite group so when they appeared on stage my flatmates thought I had seen a tarantula or something. ^_^
my favorite part was probly when nintendo crapped their pants twice in 24 hours: first at the microsoft conference & then @ the sony one. A turd sandwich!
When Nintendo announced Metroid... I watched almost two hours of that horrible conference, and I only wanted the last two minutes. I sick of them making only casual games. WHAT ABOUT YOUR HARDCORE FANS, NINTENDO?! (BTW, I'm still waiting for the 2D Metroid: Dread.)
It has to be when kojima bitchslapped MS saying that peace walker will be the TRUE sequel to the MGS franchise, not a spin off or a side story. I also have to agree with the end of the Nintendo Conference when they gave us a reason to shut the fuck up and rejoice in the metroid greatness. Definitely a "Shut up, kneel down and start sucking, bitch" moment. Also the fake enthusiasm the ex-beatles showed when presenting Rock Band. Priceless
NINTENDO AND PSP GREW SOME BALLS!!! Wasn't expecting that!! I expected Nintendo to shovel out the usual crap, and for the PSP Go to fade into unpopularity and out of the public eye. Surprise, Surprise they pull off csomething cool. Also, being able to study for my finals while watching E3 on this site. Thanks guys for teaching me E3 is more important than studying.
