The second was good but Trearch(as usual)destroyed the 3rd. Wasnt the game aimed at kids???? well how the Fuck where you supposed to kill 20 enemies with a health bar smaller than my little finger then do races which had the worst times know the man... in fact i dont think ive seen somebody with a 1000 gamerscore because it was impossible to get and impossibe to enjoy!!!!Oh never mind the fact it was hard to connect half the game with the movie!!!
Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone on the gba, i actually liked the majority of it, i remember being impressed that you could move diagonally (you couldn't do that in pokémon!) and most of the repetitive and boring tasks were right up my nine year old alley, erm... that came out wrong...
the thing that made me hate it was one of the last segments of the story where harry goes and fights some chess pieces, which was literally FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE!! i up'd his stats and spent weeks getting the best spells and the best healing potions and i could barely make a dent in their health... i think it ended up being "accidental" put in the washing machine.
The 5th Element. It took 5 years of therapy and an labotomy to rid the memory of that abortion of a game from my head. oh god im thinking about it agian, no get away, NOOOOOOO, ITS SO BLOCKBULGY AND TERRIBLE.
Home Alone on the megadrive. I fucking loved the film when I was a kid, and then I played the game... A BATTERY POWERED SLED?!? How the fuck is that supposed to work?!? Plus it was ridiculously hard, practically impossible. I feel sorry for anyone who opened a christmas present to find that game. I'm lucky, I borrowed it off a mate.
P.S. If anyone answers this question with "goldeneye", I will rip their nipples off.
What really pissed me off was that Mario movie thing. Can't seem to remember the title, but that was the dumbest piece of CRAP I have ever seen! And I was 5! Oh, and I know this isn't a movie, but The Super Mario Brothers Super Show! was a piece of s@#@ also.
Super Mario Bros movie. It sucked big time for me when i watched it.(about 7-8yrs old) Small heads were weird instead of funny to me back then too. I was just wondering WHERE'S MY SPIKY DINOSAUR/TURTLE BAD BOSS BOWSER! And what is it with GUNS? Bowser had cannons that shoot evil cannonballs, not GUNS. The whole movie was a complete wtf experience and ever since i dont' think i've bothered to check videogame movies. Except for DOA, cuz of the mandatory boobage/pantie shots. ;)
and i just realized i wrote my post on a DIFFERENT subject. It's what i get for reading hastily thru the QOTW. AFTER checking out your 5 worst things about Legend of Chun-Li movie...
the first harry potter game, that game truly sucked and i did not buy another movies game until the first transformers movie game, which sucked as well and as a result i have vowed to never ever ever again buy a game movie unless it get a review as good as MGS4 or GTA4, i almost even bought the Wolverine game but could not face another disappointment
Spiderman 3 on the wii. thank god i rented it instead of buying it cause that was the worst shit ever. i didn't have any issues with movie games up to that point (from playing power rangers on the genesis at age 5 to the awesome spiderman 2 on ps2)and this was the first one where i hated it and i havent played a movie game since and probably never will
Coincidentally the first movie game I played and hated is Total Recall. Stupid midgets.
Though I was always a little hopeful that a movie game might do the franchise justice until Spider-man 3. I wish I didn't buy that on day one. I still have nightmares of dead eyed Tobey McGuire.
I suppose I'm lucky in that the only movie games I've ever played were X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. I don't hate movie games (but I'm aware enough to avoid the massive majority of them).
Godzilla Destroy All Monsters for the Gamecube. It shudd have ben awsome but in stead it suck so bad I tride to hang my self with the controller chord X_X
Spiderman 2 for PC. I had been told that the version for consoles was not too bad, but the PC version sucked B*lls. The complete lack of pedestrians in the city frustrated me to no end.
For me it would have to be any of the Harry Potter games. They barely follow the book's/movie's plot, they have horrendous loading times, and repetitive voice acting outside of cutscenes that also are terrible.I have not touched a single movie game since I played the first Harry Potter game but i think I might rent Up.
