My first was pre-order was World of Warcraft. Wrath of the Lich-King. I did it over a web-site, and almost got screwed out of it, before i realized that i hadn't checked "Deliver"

The first game i pre ordered was wwf no mercy on the N64... i was so fucking exited that i literally ran to the shop to get it. I played if for nearly 24 hours straight, I got really far on it and was like "arrr, this is the best game ever" then that stupid game erasing bug deleted all my saves. I was so depressed that my mum let me stay off school for 3 days.

When I was a kid, I was a humongous Metroid fan. When Metroid Prime came out, my parents still didn't want me playing violent video games, so I missed the boat. Needless to say, once I hit the mature age of 14, I immediately pre-ordered Metroid Prime 2. After playing thee introduction sequence, I didn't pick the game up again for months. But the T-shirt made it all worth it... until it got discolored.

Continuing my questionable pre-order history, I then pre-ordered Myst V from MediaPlay. The game was just okay, and the company went out of business.

im only 14 and the only game i pre-ordered was Super Smash Bros Brawl but that was by accident I was trying to enter in the Gamestop Tournament that was Celebrating The Release of Brawl...So after Super Smash Bros Brawl came out mom bought it and realized it was a for Wii my mom gives me this look and says "REUBEN I'm Not going to buy you a WII!" my birthday was in one week So after one week of reading the manual many, many and many times I got my birthday money but it wasnt until 2 days later until I bought my Wii since all the stores had no Wiis. Also at the time I was really obssesed about Competetive Super Smash Bros Melee. So after buying my Wii I went unboxed my Wii and played Brawl I WAS SOO PUMPED...I coulnd't stop playing for days. So I guess a little mistake cost me like 300$. I still think that if I didnt accidently pre order it I could have gotten a 360...

The first game that I remember Pre-Ordering was Halo for the Original Xbox. I had just watched the promo video and was amazed at the graphics and totally and epic-ly awesome main character that is Master Cheif. I bought the game, went home, then realized that I didn't even own an Xbox original. Two hours, I forget how much money, and a tank of gas later, I was able to play what turned into my favorite game.

My first pre-order was MGS4 that game with the limited edition PS3. I wanted a PS3 as soon as it came out, but it wasn't until it was bundled with the...most awesome game ever that I forked over a week's paycheque to get it. My boyfriend had delivered it to me at work, and I kept it in my car and went to sleep (worked midnights) before I could set it up. Got up again and had to go to work right away for another 13 hours. It was about 3 days before I could set it up to play it, and then I realized...it looks....just awful when not in HD. I'm all about the 'experience' of games. And I mean I had a 'small' TV, and I could hardly see any of the crucial detail (like the gauges). I didn't want to ruin the experience of the game without HD any further, so I waited...for another two weeks and I went out, forked over almost another paycheque...for a HD 22" monitor. I set it up and played all night when I wasn't working. Literally...from 7 til 8am. For several days. I must have played through the entire game six times, and then started on Metal Gear Online. And who knows how long I've been playing that for.

The only game I successfully pre-ordered was Resident Evil 5.

After I played it once I found all my other games to be boring as shit! Now I wanna trade at least 4 of them.

My first pre-order is a disgrace, it was WWE RAW 2 on the original xbox, and it sucked crap. I remember lying to myself trying to convince myself it was amazing, I would rather eat my own defecation than play that game again.

Actually it might of been the first one WWF RAW...doesn't change anything though because yet again my own defecation looked more interesting.

the first game i preordered was oblivion an that was the opposite of a disappointment next game was fallout then fable was a bit disappoited with fable tho i liked the old control system in fable 1 at least for the magic elements of it btw if a rpg is ever released by bethedsa its worth buying even morrowind made in something like 2002 is better than most games today

Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
Never really had the opportunity to pre-order anything before thanks to living in a very small town in the woods and a lack of funds. There was a Microplay that opened up in "the city"; a small operation that had a Mom & Pop type feel. I got to know the owners/workers and had actually payed for Zelda in full before it was ever released. Stupid I know, but I did not want to miss that game and I had to have the Gold Cartridge; having missed out on the hype for the original during the NES days.

Fast forward to the release date and 2 trips to the store the same day (apparently deliveries are not made first thing in the morning) and I was looking at the shiny cart. I remember being for more excited then a 19 year old should be.

Well, after receiving my loyalties for inspiring the Jerry Springer show, I heard about a game in which I could express my youthful grievances, Grand theft auto side story 2, San Andreas. It's the only game I can remember pre ordering for myself, my sad, sad, father-uncle-step-daddy tried to lull me into his den with Halo 2, but it was for naught. My dear carpet munching mother was the one to fuel my desire to fit into my new urban 'hood, I being the only ivory child in a concrete jungle of tar people. On the day of interception with EB games at the local mall to receive my gift, only to be held behind a live of angry people waiting for their copies. The Electronic Boutique, or Empty Building, had not yet received its shipment, dooming it. I went to the second floor of the mall where a gamespot had strangely overstocked itself with San Andreas copies, and able to accept everyone who claimed they preordered with EB, and their own customers.... clearly they had ordered too much to early and were simply ready to help those who would be flabbergasted and swindled.

The first game I remeber pre-ordering was[I think] Halo 3. I was probably the only person that wasn't saying "OMG I pre-ordered halo three!!!''. I wasn't exited at all because I was one of the few people who only played halo 1 and 2 very little, and just saw as halo three as something to occupy my time until Super Smash Bros came out. Now I love Halo 3. Brawl is still a tad better.
