The first game I pre-ordered was assassins creed. i had seen all this stuff about it and was just stoked to get it. i went the afternoon it came out and picked it up. i don't think i slept much at all that night. i was so amazed with the game. and still am. i love that game, and it will forever be one of my favorites. i wasn't sure at first about the whole "its really just you living your ancestors memories" thing but it actually turned out well. The only thing i did get was how we you disgraced you some how forget how to counter enemy attacks. but o well, still a great game.

Unfortunately after passing it a week later it has been collecting dust on my shelf. My next pre-ordered game is gonna be Batman:Arkham Asylum for the 360 so cant wait for that =]

The first game I ever pre-ordered wasn't actually a game. It was the wii. I remember nearly hanging myself because i couldn't have the damn thing on the launch date, so about a month later i finally reserved it. i waited outside of a parking lot for a night, awake out of anxiety, because i couldn't freaking wait to get that damn thing. I finally got it, went home, and whored twilight princess for about a month in all of my pale, cheez-puffy goodness.

I think my wii is sitting in my closet with all of my elementary school clothes as I type this right now. Damn casual gamers.

First game i remember pre-ordering (and last) was Kingdom Hearts 2 because my friend and i (only 7 at the time) were like "There's gonna be another Kingdom Hearts???!!!" so i pre-oredered it cause i was HUGE KH fan at the time. But I'll never pre-order a game again cause i buy a few days after release anyway. Btw I play Fianl Fantasy more than anything now but i used to love KH

The first game I was pre-ordered was Left 4 Dead on Steam. I was almost tempted to skip school to play it when it came out but then found out it was releasing Late Night and not Early Morning. Dang time zones!

The last game I remember pre-ordering was Mercenaries 2 for 360. I loved the first one on PS2 and couldn't wait to blow S%!& up in co-op over LIVE. I woke up early the day Mercs 2 came out and drove over to GameStop to pick it up. The clerk at the store was asleep behind the counter and had a huge stack of Mercs 2 copies behind him.......all with "USED" stickers on them. Great.
I haven't pre-ordered a game since.

I'm pretty sure the first game I remember pre-ordering was Pokemon Ruby. Too bad that game kinda sucked compared to the other generations...

The first pre-order I remember making was for Mario Kart: Double Dash. The demo disk was the sweet part of the deal. I played the Sonic Heroes demo constantly, and me and my friend played the Mario Party 5 minigame demos quite a few times (especially the one with the penguins). I also tried and sucked at the Star Wars demo.

Oh and I played the actual game a ton...

I figured I'd toss in this side story as well. Last year our local Future Shop held a midnight launch for GTA 4. Our Wal-Marts had pre-orders as well, but Future Shop had something that Wal-Mart didn't...

FREE HATS!!!

As astounding as that was, I pre-ordered my copy at Wal-Mart (the 10% discount beats a free hat any day). I picked it up when the time came with no problems and a few days later I heard someone I was working for talking about the midnight launch.

Apparently Future Shop offered pre-orders for both systems, but at the midnight launch they only received 360 versions of the game. So the people who showed up for PS3 bundles got screwed. At least they didn't leave empty-handed.

They got hats.

My first ever pre-orders were two games: Crysis and Simcity Societies. I didn't really even want Simcity societies but there was a Christmas discount, so I pre-ordered it anyway. On the day I got these two games, I immediately ripped the Crysis disk from its box,and installed it onto my PC, literally dancing around the room. When it finished installing, I tried playing it and it came up with an error message; Video Card unable to run specified program. So I spent the rest of christmas being grumpy and playing Simcity Societies.

The first game i remember pre ordering a copy of the 90's cowboy-fps Outlaw from LucasArts. I was pretty young, but my dad was a gamer at the time. I was so excited that i went through all of out John Wayne tapes and watch nothing but cowboy movies for weeks. It ended up being a great game! Very proud to say it was my first pre order.

First game has to be Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. Now, keep in mind that i pre-ordered this when rumors of the "Nintendo Revolution" had just begun, so i thought this game would be my gamecube's saving grace. Of course when the time came for its release i get a call from gamestop informing me that it has been delayed till february and it will be released on the wii as well. I never went to the store to pick up (and finish paying for) the game. I got a 360 instead

The first game I pre-ordered was SSBB. I don't know why ( I thought Melee was great but...). I felt somehow obligated to get it as a Wii owner, or whatever. Anyway, I liked it for a while but I quickly realized what was happening to Nintendo. Actually, it was listing to talk radar that opened my eyes ( podcast 10 particularly ). I quickly traded in my Wii for a 360 and lived happily ever after. I still play Melee on the cube regularly though. Thanks talk radar.

first post. yah.

I tried preordering for the first time last summer, i put a pre-order on Soul Calibur IV while i was away on vacation. I got back a few days after the release, and immediately went to pick up my game. The store i ordered it from said that they actually had my copy at their other branch a mile away. i went there, and to my dismay, no copy. i was told id receive a call within 3 days about my game. 2 weeks later, i finally get a call. I went to the store immediately, only to find an empty room and a paper glued to the door saying "weve moved!". i finally tracked down the new store and got my Soul Calibur. i may have ended my business then and there, but they gave me a 30 dollar gift card and a nifty SC4 t-shirt (that i still havent removed from the packaging).

I remember going to Best Buy and buying a video game there. The clerk asked if I wanted to reserve Banjo-Kazooie and my immediate response was, "Okay." I didn't even know what the game was or what it was about. About a month later I finally found out about the game. Good thing is that I love that game to death. So things worked out for me.

Pre=ordered GTA 44 first. Then, most recently, LittleBigplanet.

The first game I preordered was the PC version of GTA4
I wasn't really into consoles so I waited the 7 monthes for Rockstar to port it to the PC.
Anyway, it came about 2 weeks after which astounded me as when I walked into the store they had it sitting in the shelf and

wouldn't let me take one. When it finally came I was so happy I smacked my head on the door walking into my room and had to go

see a doctor. When I came back I installed the game and started it up eagerly. (AFter wasting 1 hour doing the stupid copyright

check crap). I finished the first 2 missions and then the texture issues started and I realised that I had to restart my computer

and let it cool down or else the game was unplayable. I was pretty angry and didn't play for months (it was a sad chirstmas

playing Combat Arms) until i realised a patch had been released. I installed it and poof, all fixed. Except it somehow broke my

router so I couldn't play online but it didn't matter. Untill I clocked it and didn;t have anything else to do. Now I am

searching for a better router.
