DDR floor pads. Unless you shell out $100 for the big heavy metal ones, they slide all over the floor, making gameplay incredibly difficult. I tried duct-taping them to the floor once, didn't work long.
The worst move for any company ever, motion sensing, it's just bound to fail. The hate started with that damn ps2 eye. Then I lose all respect for a whole company. Just look at that Wii sensor bar staring at you with its evil blank stare saying HAH got you with our old recycled ideas. So in short the worst periphal is that damn Wii sensor bar. The one thing that caused a whole company to lose all respect from the hardcore gaming community, enjoy your sensor bar and 'casual' games. fuck you nintendo.
Definetely the Microphone for Pickachu Channel. for the 64. If anyone remebers it, you got to control Pickachu via voice commands. From what I heard it was the worst microphone in history but it let me down because some asshole stole the peripheral from West Coast Movies(A movie/videogame rental store).
So i went in there every day for the next month trying to get this game, but the cashiers would say, sorry kid seems like someone didn't return the mic. It turned into CSI for me trying to figure out who did it.
The wiimote when it firsy came out i picked it up and thought that i would be swinging around my characters arms and all that ended up happening was the same thing as a controller while i was swinging around a chunk of plastic looking like an idiot.
I like my DSi, the buttons are much more responsive than the ds lite, the bigger screens are really nice and the cameras are not that bad. I think activision will release a GH grip that will work on the DSi eventually.
My most dissapointing peripheral was the nyko intercooler for my X360. I bought it because I was afraid of getting the RROD. The 1st intercooler made my system hotter and then it ignited it. Who would've thought that a cooler would make things hotter.
The Rock Band Stratocaster and the Rock Band 1 Drums. FUCK YOU, Harmonix for basically making me pay two hundred dollars for things you've barely spent any money on making them. The Strat came out of the box busted. I remember being do excited to shred solos on the buttons higher up on the neck, only to find that none of the buttons work at all. When I called their tech support line about it, it was almost as bad as Microsofts. When they sent me a replacement I found that it was a shitty guitar controller anyway.
Rock Band Drums were working fine...for two months. The red pad started to become unresponsive. I was able to fix it by taping the pad down, but I really shouldn't have to do that. But then, the fucking foot pedal broke. I remember pounding out Enter Sandman, only to have it literally shatter to pieces. I bought a new kick pedal, but it wasn't one from Harmonix, and I still use it. That just shows that Harmonix really didn't put that much thought into it.
I have one that might date me a bit. The power glove, which wasn't nearly as EXTREME!! or TO THE MAX!! as it wanted to be. Tons of people bought it, only to realize it didn't work with anything. I mean, I don't know, I guess you could roll a ball around with it...
well none let me down but what did let me down was the fact that house of the dead was on wii, and they didn't sell the fucking light shotgun! They only had the shitty wii zapper which is retared cuz you reload with your right hand and shoot with your left. It's like fucking backwards!
Anything for the NES. The crappy infra-red joypads, the joypads with the octagonal trackpad thing in place of the D-pad and - God forgive me - that damn robot.
