Am. . . lol, the sims
I used 2 play it all the time bt then i realised it was boring nd totally sucked ass compared to all the other brilliant games out there. eg. I went from playing the sims to playing Zelda, enough sed.
Dynasty Warriors, i used to love taking on thousands of enemies on my own and feeling like a god on the battlefield. I didn't even really mind that the whole gameplay was bash square a number of times and then bash triangle.
But as each new game (if you can call them new) was released, my love for the game faded more and more as i realised this series isn't evovling at all.
You can play Dynasty Warriors 2 and then play Dynasty Warriors 6 and despite a slight graphics upgrade your still going to be bashing the exact same buttons with the exact same terrible "I'll just stand here till you decide how you want to kill me" ai.
Oh but of course DW6 added the ability to swim and climb things!! Wow!! How gaming technology has advanced all these years!
every other game after pokemon crystal because after giviny us 16 gyms and kanto to explore in the gsc generation they have never done it again and instead goven us the crappy battle tower.
But I'm going to go with GTA4. IMO it is the most over-praised game in the history of games, steal cars, shoot people, steal cars...shoot people. I enjoyed GTA:SA much more, the over the top weapons, Samuel L Jackson, the size of it, the funny characters...
Big Smoke: I'll have a 45, a 45 large, a 45 with extra dip!
..or something like that. GTA4 was just plain boring to me, I found Niko dull, the environment dull, I felt boxed in believe it or not, after playing the unlimited world of GTA:SA.
Anyway, I bought GTA4 at the midnight launch, within an hour I was in awe of how much this game sucked...IMO!!!!!
I was entranced with the sweet humour and cute ways of getting through the famous cutscenes that I loved in the films without any use of diolouge
Then.. The grind set in.
The cheerful colours turned to grey and the levels seemed inexplicably long and repetitive, generic and twisted versions of the movies I still love to the present day.
The cutscenes that I once appreciated to be cutesy lacked the beautiful scripting that I admired in the films and it all just made me regret allowing the little yellow men re-tell one of my favourite sagas of all time.
In fact, this is the one franchise-based game that's made me appreciate the original more rather than less due to it's crappiness.
Call of Duty 4, but let me explain...
See, I bought the game my freshman year of college after my friend moved his 50 inch tv into my room because I didn't have a roommate. My friends and I would play for hours, it was a blast, we all had our favorite maps and weapons and it was really competitive.
Fast forward to my sophemore year, I was living in an apartment with all the guys I played COD4 with the previous year, and things started out well enough, we picked up right where we left off, we were playing pretty much anytime we weren't in class. But then, it began to wear on me... the sounds of the guns, grenades bouncing, explosions, I could hear it everywhere, it became impossible to sleep or study. I was even hearing it in classes and in my nightmares... at this point I had stopped playing but the guys in the apartment persisted, they couldn't get enough, and I couldn't get away.
The whole thing came to a head when we lost power for a full week at school and the guys left campus for one of the guys houses while I was at work(leaving me behind due to a huge misunderstanding) they took my game with them and played it the whole time. When they rolled back in I took the game and traded it in. I could go the rest of my life without hearing those sound effects ever again... but I still want to play MW2...
Gonna go with Starcraft on this one. I think I was in fourth or fifth grade when this came out. My best friends dad had a laptop that we would play it on. We would spend hours online doin 3v3's and 5v5's and always, ALWAYS, backstabbing people at the end. We would laugh and laugh at how pissed everyone got.
Then I grew up. Last year I fired up the ol' Starcraft game, created a new battle.net name(obviously my old one "Weaslepoop" was no longer in service) got into a match and was immediately covered in zerg in less than 5min. I thought it was some hacks, but apparently people can actually be that good. Played a few more rounds and did well...and then BACKSTABBED!!! I got so pissed. lol, apparently griefing is amazing for 5th grader, but for an adult it is insanely frustrating. Karma's a bitch.
It's also where I first learned of "lag" and your internet "timing out". good times.
The Dynasty warriors series I first started playing number 3 for the PS2 and it was awesome every game since then has been garbage, they are all the same they don't improve on anything.
gmilf71 is a complete and total moron. Fuck you man, fuck you.
And to answer your question: Sly Cooper. The first one. I loved that game but by the time i got to the final boss battle i was DONE!
Rayman. the original one for the PSX. i absolutely hate that game. i'm terrible at it too. the years i put into it were not worth it, for i've yet to beat the damned thing. but i keep going back! help!
I'll say fallout 3. It wasn't really beloved but its the only game that qualifies for this question since i don't really hate any games i used to love. I went through it (mostly story a few side quests, really just scratched the surface) and was right at the end of the story and my friend erased my save. This has since caused me to really just lose all interest completely because i wasn't that captivated by it to begin with. its an excellent game, but i guess im more of a jrpg fan haha.
Star Wars Battlefront 2. I used to think it was a great multiplayer game to play when my friends were over because what isn't fun about being all of the coolest Star Wars characters fighting each other. Now I realized that only one level allowed everyone to be jedis and the AI and the good guys' team seemed to always win and I can't control a spaceship.
Goldeneye:rogue agent. I really loved this game although I never got past the 7th level and even named my username after it! I played again afte a year and after the likes of half life I just relised how bad it was. Niow Im stuck wih this username on almost all of my internet registratons, please gamesradar, make me change it to something better!!
World of Warcraft. All of my friends used to play that game and we were all low levels (which is when the game is most fun.) For a while it was really fun because everyone was still playing. However, one by one my friends would just quit because their account got hacked and they didn't want to make a new one or they just got bored of it. Eventually only me and two of my friends were left and one was a lot higher level and the other was on another server. I didn't even have fun when I played the game but I still kept playing it. In fact, I absolutely hated it. It was boring, I got kicked from my guild for asking a question, my guy sucked and I couldn't complete my epic mount quest even though I had it for a couple of months. Eventually I only started playing about once a week and once I finally reached level 68, my account got hacked. Looking back I realized how much of a waste of time it really is and nobody should ever play it unless you have a group of at least 5 other friends at the same level you can play with because that is the only way it can be fun.
Mass Effect. I know what your thinking but listen to this. I played through it 13 TIMES! I couldn't figure out why it would give me the achievement for finishing the majority of the game. Then I fuguired out at the 10th time through that side quests counted. F***. I've played it to much. I will definately get number 2 but I will never go back to it to prepare a new file to load up to the sequel or something like that.
