i never reeli was a gamer till my good old ps2, but i will always treasure my gameboy colour, the hours of endless fun with pikachu tagging along behind u was brilliant, and then ude put him to sleep in the pokemon center and walk out to try and leave the little shit but it never worked. Ahhhh good times
I can't decide:
Nintendo Wii and the SEGA Genesis take First Place from me.
The Wii has this "Control" (as i like to call it) over me that, it makes the crappest games ever, just make me want to play it more (Secret Rings wink, wink). IDK its got something to do with the motion sensory, or something. Also, Wii helped me get more toned!
Ahh, the Genesis: my childhood. I would sit for hours in front of the TV with that thing and just rot my brains out. Sitting there playing Sonic the Hedgehog (HELL YEAH!), Ecco the Dolphin, Vectorman, Street Fighter, Michael Jackson's Moonwalker (I used to LOVE that game!), etc. Damn! Those were the days...
PS1 will hold memories of my childhood. Playing on those in my best friends loft were awesome. Then he moved, and we played on the PS2 & Xbox there. Which again, was awesome. Then he moved again, and i only go round once a year + a yearly holiday with them, and it's all about PS3 & Xbox 360 now. Oh, and on holiday we bring the old PS2 and play Micro Machines & TIF 2004 (deliberate dive FTW) on that! We also whip out our PSPs now and then too
I'd say the virtual boy (not because it played well, it was crap) because when I had a seizure after playing it I met my father (who I had never seen before) in the hospital. Now we're best buds and we go fishing on the weekends.
Gameboy color, man. That thing was so awsome. You wanna know just why it was so awsome? It had a friggin COLOR screen. pokemon was so awsome on that thing.
Clearly it can only be the atari jaguar i mean look at those graphics the superb controller and unbeatable game library (in all seriousness its the xbox 360)
Snes; it was the NES on steroids. RPG's, adventure, shooters just bout every base was covered. Even to this day the graphics still look good, the sound is still awesome; and as twishart said it's home to the greatest game ever (Super Metroid).
DC is second thanks to it's games; emulation and homebrew community.
Probably the PS1 (or PSX, I just don't know anymore!!!). That was when spyro the dragon and crash bandicoot were actually good, no great even. aaagh happy memorys...
The SNES was easily the most special. It wasn't even mine: my brother got it for Christmas when I was 5, and I didn't care about video games. A year later with countless hours of Super Mario World and Bulls vs. Blazers and the NBA Playoffs under my belt, I was wearing glasses. Enough said.
the original gameboy, i still have mine and it is just awesome, even today. although it weights like a ton and its black and white (or dark green and light green) it is still really fun to play Mario on that thing, or mortal kombat or whatever other good original game there is.
Aw, this is embarrassing, but once upon a time an IBM Aptiva computer was the cat's pajamas. I got one the night before the school year started, hooked up with a Voodoo 2 graphics card (this dates me). It was the first time I had really seen 3D graphics, and Mechwarrior 2 blew me away, as did Jane's Longbow Apache Helicopter sim. I stayed up so late that I couldn't figure out how to open a locker the next day (scratch that, maybe it had nothing to do with being tired). I played and upgraded that computer until it couldn't even install the games coming out, and it resides in a place of honor in my basement, collecting dust and dial-up modems. Good times, back in the day....
hmm it would be N64 since everyday me and my friends would play so many games on it like golden eye, super smash bros, mario party, mario tennis and zelda games and some wrestling game i can't remember. i think we actually burned out my friends n64 due to our nonstop daily gaming
Isn't it obvious? Everyone agrees that the Nokia N-Gage, Nintendo Virtual Boy, Apple Pippen, and Atari Jaguar were the best systems of all time! They didn't give you an electrical hug, they gave you an electrical shiv.
PS1 then the N64.(That's right I'm still a young gamer)N64 would have won but I only ever had 3 games for it. PS1 had Crash Bandicoot(pre-rehab), and the longest game I have ever bought, Legend Of Dragoon! The original Xbox is in a tie for third with PS2 only because of Halo 2.
It's a close tie between the Playstation 2 and original Game Boy. While the PS2 is home to some of my favorite games, I grew up with the Game Boy and it's home to some of the first games I've ever beaten.
I guess the Game Boy doesn't play DVDs or allow for simple multiplayer. But, Mega Man in Dr. Wily's Revenge is my favorite Mega Man game and Link's Awakening is my favorite Zelda game. It's a perfect example of hardware limitations giving rise to creativity.
PC, but if mean "Console" then I have to say Playstation 2, I could play Playstation 1 games amazingly even though Blue discs(dont know what they were for) never played on it.
