Lols out of all the great games, it seems shameful to admit that Pokemon Stadium is always my fall back game. :P
But seriously, if u can find a more satisfying moment than using a Charizard to fire-rape a Pikachu to death, whilst the announcer epically announces that you have just performed a one hit wonder, as the crowd raises in appluase then be my guest.
Plus the mini-games are immense. Button mashers they may be, but the Game Thundering Dynamo involves all the loser pokemon to be electrified and, assumingly, dying a horrible horrible death. And that includes Pikachu.
the top 3 games i always end up going back to are counter-strike, warcraf 3 and final fantasy 7. i used to be really good at CS and WC3. i played in CS tourneys with clans on our own servers and stuff. i was on the 4v4 AT ladder in WC3 too, but now all i play is custom games. I always start new games in FF7 but usually quit again shortly after the end of disc 1. its not that i dont like disc 2 (its actually my favorite) it just happens that way.
1- Ratchet & Clank : Up your arsenal (Or as i know it, R&C3) because I'm nearly at 100% completion, with only 1 more skill point to obtain and i feel that even though it's farily linear, with a bit of creatvive thinking you can quite easily turn it into a sandbox-type game.
2- Assassins creed, i dont care what anyone says about that game, its comfortingly vicious and threateningly deep at the same time
(This will probably be replaced by Prototype when it comes out though. :D)
And to a certain extent, CTR and X-Men Mutant Academy 2 on the PSone if i'm ever feeling nostalgic, because I kick anal at both those.
Team Fortress 2...Everytime I just get soo stressed of homework I play this game. The Craziness and Original cartoony-ness (Is that a word?) make me coming back and plus the heavy is freaking insane
To the poster who asked if anyone knew of heros of might and magic complete. I have this to say.
When I was 21 years old and in the navy I didnt have to much money but I had a incredible urge to play heros. I bought a computer at the pawn shop with my roomate we split the cost of the pentium 2 and we bought heros from ebay. Altogether it was a 2 month project just for us to play heros because the ps2 version was garbage.
I always go back to all of my games at least once every two years. But the one game i most always go back to the same year is the Unreal Tournament series. It's just so damn fun and there is like a billion maps to download so your never short on new content. Plus its one of those games where you can have one quick game then move onto something else.
I also seem to make the habit of playing through Grim Fandango every year, its like a favourite movie you know all the lines to cause you have watched it so many times.......except its a game.
I'm still completely into Baldur's Gate II. Minsc and Boo and the gang were amusing and fun. I found the characters to be deep and their interaction completely believable. The story was very deep as well.
Sweet I'm in a post WOOT! and hey i actually have all 3 of those ipods pictured up there lol. I actually have 33 now I got another one. U2 Edition Ipod Video 30gb.
BG&E. It's just such a rich, vibrant world. It's easy to get lost into. Jade and Peyj are easily two of my favorite characters in all of gamedom. And then there's Psychonauts. The psychedelic psycho-babble mix with humor is intoxicating to a bi-polar/schizophrenic. Riddick is a favorite, too, not to mention Fable 2 and anything Zelda... Hmm, I've let this get away from me, haven't I...
I don't usually go back to games after I'm done with them. I either beat a game and keep playing it (Pokemon) or just remember how fun it was. The best answer for this is probably The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages. I've gone back to that damn game numerous times and I still haven't beaten it. Although I manage to get a little farther every time.
I don't go back often, but I have gone back to OKAMI serval times, which I love and totally agree with you all on it's awsomeness. Unfortunatly hardly anyone has played it so there aren't people to talk to about it. I think it is the water color style that keeps bringing me back.
