I'm very random with games I'll go back to. Right now I'm going through Tomba! and Tomba! 2 remembering how awesome they were even if the hit detection is iffy now and again.
There's also the Animaniacs Mega Drive game that I sincerely and utterly love, it's the most replayed game I have on my Mega Drive next to Comix Zone and Eternal Champions. I'll even say Animaniacs is my fave game on the whole system for being just perfect for me.
Definitely, Frogger.
Thinking that maybe it will defy physics and the game will change.
Since the 90's, I've learned that frogs have majestically gained the power to swim. Unlike before Frogger, when they obviously couldn't.
for anytime i feel that first person shooters have fallen into a repetitive cycle and are only created to haul in money, not to tell a story, i go back to half-life.
Few games have changed my perception of video games as the original Half-life. after playing though its story and the various creative expansions my expectations of what a video game was capable of doing was turned upside down. If you ask me, Half-life was the first time "video games" became interactive media, you were playing your own movie. Sure i try not to go back too often, the graphics are better left looking great in my nostalgic memories and the lack of checkpoints, regenerating health, and a half-decent physics system make it challenging for all the wrong reasons, especially when i play it on the same computer im running crysis from. But for whenever i need a reminder on how to make a good game as well as a strong dose of nostalgia i make sure to keep a copy close.
God bless you Warcraft III. I may yell at you like a crazy person when my custom spells dont work, and i may get more than a little upset at you when my teammates ditch me middgame for the nth time. But youre always there to pick up the pieces afterwards. I salute you Warcraft, and all your hot undead action.
i just made u read my status for nothing. its great being in control. who's my bitch?ur my bitch! now crack on with whatever u were doing until i need u again!
It seems like Age of Mythology is the winner. Im not a bag pc guy but theres just something about that game that has me playing for sometimes 6 hours in a row
If i had to go back to a game, it'd probably be fable 2. Despite completing EVERY mission, owning pretty much EVERY house, shop or castle in the game, i find it extremely fun pulling out my red dragon or daichi (yes when i first got this game i was overly obsessive about it) and pulling off nut shots or unfairly vicious attacks on guards and civilians. What was that article about video-game violence...?

Whenever I buy a new CD, I always wonder how difficult it'll be to play on it, and I have to try it out.
Sadly, the day after I found out that the game is worth quite a bit of money, my dad stepped on it. I almost cried, but luckily it was just the case that got damaged. I'm planning on buying another copy.
I'm going to have to say the original Super Smash Bros., Starfox 64, Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time. For the newer generations, I'd say Halo 3 for multiplayer, and Gears 2 for horde.
