@evildog51 if i had not sold my DC Shenmue 1 i would replay, that game rely was a masterpiece. never played the second one, dont know that i want to, knowing the 3rd will never see the light of day
I generally fall back upon the Pokemon franchise every couple of years - I was a Pokemon Silver obsessive four years or so ago, and recently for some reason felt industrial strength nostalgia for Pokemon Silver for almost everything.
well, on the older consoles I always return to Ocarina of time...the best game cube game ever...On the younger ones I still can't put down Halo 3...even though Ive completed legendary solo and co-op...and Ive made 20 maps...and I have every achievement...
Counterstrike. I'm sure I've spent more hours on that single game over the years than on all the rest of the games I've played combined. I was seriously into it in highschool, and continued to play regularly through the first couple years of university. Since then I've moved on to other games, but every few months I'll go back to it and play a few rounds. It's sort of like riding a bike, you never really forget. After a few rounds warming up I can still hold my own with the pump shotty.
Red Faction Guerrilla the demo, it may not be a game but oh boy, i cannot get enough of destroying EVERYTHING in sight. Nothing is more fun then getting in a dump truck, driving full speed off the side of a cliff into a 2 story building. When the game comes out, i will be its mindless slave of destruction... other than that TF2 for PC is the second runner up.
Civilization 4. Every time I think I get that heroin needle out of my arm a friend will call and say, "Hey want to not have a life for a weekend and play some Civ" I proceed to the man cave and i don't return until the sun comes up for work on Monday... and i see that my wife has left me again...
My best friend is about to be deployed and he and I used to play that game all the time. He'd play Joe Bruiser, the boxer, and I'd play Shaolin. One time we played a whole match for an hour. I kept wondering how he was able to escape my submission holds so quickly. Right after the match I found out he was tapping the analog stick the entire time! I was so pissed off at him, and so filled with Root Beer, I pissed myself in anger right there in front of him. He lost it as I ran to the bathroom screaming that I'd kill him!
Everytime I play that game I laugh, and it makes me feel like my best friend is playing right next to me.
So I seem to hit XBLA stuff a lot. I tend to go back and keep working on Puzzle Quest and Bionic Commando Rearmed. But I also recently picked up on the discount some Alien Hominid for $5. Also some old Sam & Max on the PC from Lucasarts and DOTT as well.
i will always. and i mean ALWAYS!!! go back to tetris on my calculator. also there is this game called falldown. but games on a console, i will always go to COD 4, and counter strike source. i enjoy griefing people in COD 4... i have some good stories about that if you would like to hear them send me a message.
Pokemon, basically. Seriously, I'm 16 but everytime I play a Pokemon game I feel like a little kid again.
Laugh if you want, but I would quite willingly camp out for a week just to get Pokemon Platinum.
However I am glad that this site is more accepting of Pokemon, if feel welcome, kinda.
I'm embarrassed to say it -- C & C Generals. The solo matches with multiple tough opponents become carefully choreographed dances which have to be done just right.
on pc Fable: TLC, played i through like a hundred times, collect all possible weapons with closby 47 account. on ps2 it's the R&C triology, i play them after each other and on x360 it'sracedriver GRID
