Super Mario Bros. 3 is the game I am ashamed to have never beaten. This is despite the fact that I was not even a year old when it was released. I played it a lot when I was young, often borrowing Super Mario All-Stars from a neighbor to play the remake. I got all the way to the last world, but everything became so difficult in one level that I couldn't finish.
Now that it is available on the Wii VC, I bought it and thought I would finally finish it almost two decades later.
But I can't be bothered to play it, I want to play it but I just won't for some reason. I got to the second world once and haven't picked it up since.
Maybe with summer fast approaching I can purge this demon and finally finish it... probably not...
As any fule kno, in Pokemon Silver (spoiler) Lance is the Elite Four Champion, essentially Cynthia with more dragons, and only slightly less badass than that sounds.
At a young age, I was on Lance's LAST POKEMON when it transpired that I had broken a lampshade or something in the fury of the battle, and was forced to turn it off without saving, and give it back to the friend I had borrowed it off. A little part of me died that day.
Since then I have beaten the Champion (breaking both of your rules - sorry.), but I always resent not doing it the first time.
ratchet and clank size matters. it came with my psp and but that last guy is just to hard for me. i wish i had other ratchet weapons in that game. *fondly remembers harbinger and Anti-matter sniper rifle*
Dead Rising...
I played it over and over again and it never gets old but damn, the time organization thing is driving me nuts! I wish a free mode is available at the beginning so that its all about killing zombies... gamesradar, ur the best!!
One of my favorite game series of all time is Kingdom Hearts. Ironically I've never beaten the first 2 (the second being chain of memories). I am currently re-re-re-playing the first one, and will have it beaten by tommorow. I hope to buy the Chain of memories ps2 version to get back into it.
I am a gamer, or at least I claim to be. I have finished a good amount of top-notch games. That said, I have also left many games withering on the shelf, and I've come to confess them now:
I have not beaten Halo 3, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Beyond Good and Evil, Assassin's Creed, Half-Life, or a single Final Fantasy or Grand Theft Auto game.
It's pretty shameful to call myself a gamer, and yet not have completed several of gaming's finest. I just hope that the gaming community will forgive me and give me the time to go back and right these wrongs.
On that note, it looks like I have a lot to do over the summer...
Never finished any of the GTA's even though i own all of them and love them all... i never finished goldeneye on the n64 either, always got so close on the 2nd last lvl but could never do it.. never finished any of the mario's either. and for some reason im realy ashamed about never finishing cod 1-2.. im gonna finish all these now thanks GR!
im personally ashamed for never beating monkey island 2....i mean i did it..but had 2 use a faq../cry.....the other game i never beaten is monkey island 3 on mega monkey difficulty..its hard as hell and im ashamed of not being able to beat my favourite games...sniff
probably trauma centre:under the knife. I got to this mission which im not sure is even half way through the game and i couldn't do it. it now gathers dust and every time i try to get past that mission i end up turning the game off and curing loudly in failure
I am a definite Nintendo-phile and have beaten most every major game on every Nintendo system (NES, SNES, Gamecube, Wii). I can't stand leaving a game unfinished. If it's a collecting game, I have to collect everything and don't consider it beat until I do. I've beaten every Zelda (except the DS zelda cause I haven't played it) with every heart collected, and every Mario game with every star/shine collected. With that criteria, the games I haven't beaten are Mike Tyson's Punch-Out, and Secret of Mana (dloaded it for VC and really haven't started it yet). Still working on getting a 100 on every level in SMW2: Yoshi's Island.
Definately S.T.A.L.K.E.R + S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky... So incredible I found myself stuck roaming Chernobyl doing sidequests or faction wars to prolong the game. Every time I have played and done this... and every time i decide to finish the game and begin the main quest it suddenly becomes the last time I start the game up... for 2 months, then the cycle begins again... GIVE ME THE STRENGTH... Perhaps with the new S.T.A.L.K.E.R where playing after the main quest is supposedly possible... ahhh whats the point, the ending videos are on Youtube anyway...
