I hate to say it, but I never actually beat Ocarina of Time for N64. Yes its a crime, but I played through the whole thing on GC, but I still feel ashamed for never completing it with the controls it was made for.
I never beat half life 2, had to cheat the final 4 levels because of those bloody snipers and those pests going `follow freeman`, `you need to reload` or `we want to stroke your beard`. or at leasr thats what they seemed to be thinking i reckon...
Hmm that'd have to be Valkyrie Profile 2, the only Tri-Ace game to this day I have yet to beat, I got to a boss that my 12 year old(at the time) mind could not figure out, and I haven't picked it up since, god damn Kraken...
For some reason I never beat God of War II. I loved the first one and although I can't wait for the the third one, I feel like I can't be a true fan of the series if I don't finish the second one.
definitely a link to the past, I don't know but for some reason I just could never finish that game. I owned for like a bajilion years and always just ended up restarting the game or wasting hours just beating up chickens
I am ashamed to say I never beat System Shock 2. Love the game, hate the end. Every character I roll, every walkthru I peek at, never seems to cut the mustard.
I'm a huge Silent Hill fan and I still have yet to beat 1 and 4. SH1 looks like doodoo and that makes it so hard to try to play, and I hate to say that it may very well remain on my shelf forever. As for SH4 .... i've tried multiple times to try and get into it and I just cant ..... siiiigh....
I have still never beaten call of Duty 4. Everyone I know has beaten Call of Duty 4......I'm on the 2nd level. I don't know if I'll ever beat that game, It feels kinda late now
For me it's Mirror's Edge.
I'm not particularly a FPS-buff anyway, but the inconsoleable tap-fest of teh shoulder buttons was the death of me.
I think I got to last part if chapt. 6, on medium
Not starting on easy wasnt the best idea for me.
And I'm too shamefaced to trek through the chapters again on easy.
Final Fantasy 7. I always wanted to play it, mainly because I always kinda liked the final fantasy series. Plus, now I know that I shouldn't give a ribbon to aerith. I heard she gets back stabbed by a spy.
Sadly, I never beat Ocarina of Time. I got stuck in the Fire Temple, and then I just stopped playing for some reason. Now when people talk about how epic the ending to OoT is, I have no idea what they are talking about. Sigh...
Tyler, I had the same thing with Link To The Past. I got it when I was 11, and I got to the final boss, Ganendorf in his true form. I was able to hit him with three silver arrows. I thought that would be enough (three is usually the magic number). I never found out how many hits it took to kill him.
I also picked it up years later on an emulator, and even with the advantage of save states I never finished it.
More recently, my most damning failure-to-finish is probably Lego Star Wars. I tried to play it through with my girlfriend, but we both got so tired of the annoying snowspeeder section in the Empire Strikes Back that we never persisted with it. How lame is that?
for me...legend of dragoon. I was so young when that came out and I wasnt very good. It took me so long to beat the final boss my
cd developed so many scratches that when the moment came that I beat him the screen was black...I NEVER saw the end video, but I could here It. Some might say that I completed it. But for anyone that has played the game before, knows how emotionaly involved you get and that not seeing what happens at the end of the game is not completion...Thanks GR Im going to pick up that game today and finish it.
