It sucks that there hasn't been a new Sly Cooper game for a long time, but I doubt it's actually dead. Honestly, I miss the presence of the Twisted Metal series, but I'm not too sure how that sort of game would fare today. I think if they took a an approach similar to Black that it could find its own niche, the graphical capability is there to create awesome cars and bizarre locations, plus the online structure would fit this sort of game well. I miss the visceral feeling of just dodging Mr. Grimm's fucking skull special, and also miss the "twisted" characters such as Axel and Sweet Tooth. Those games bring up so many fond memories of bringing over a that huge dongle to a friend's house in order to get more than 2 players on the PS1. But it also reminds me of the times my brother would play split screen with me...and when he'd punch me in the arm when I used Spectre's homing ghost missiles exclusively on him instead of the computer.

Bullfrog and Dungeon Keeper - loved the witty satirical style the series had, shame on you EA for killing it! *clenched fist*

Adeline Software and Little Big adventure games, it's hard to find a title that comes close to LBA, maybe Zelda, but I really miss the unique world and all the lore fluff around it. Come one Frédérick Raynal, we need LBA3. I miss action adventure titles overall, it's like the genre is dying or something. I mean, GTA is nothing like Zelda, please stop classifying it as action adventure. It's more like open-world action.

Shadowrun was really fun, too bad the game has been canned thanks to the lack of titles plus a sub par multiplayer game that should be forgotten and whoever developed it, laughed at.

Freelancer had an accessible way of space combat controls that felt really fresh. A sequel would be nice, pretty please?

Jedi Knight/Dark Forces series... because slashing people with a saber with directional swinging never gets old, and the force powers were quite balanced in there. Raven did a real good job with the games, but then, we get a Jedi May Cry game from Lucasarts. No thanks, I'll stick with Jedi Outcast.

black isle studios now try and tell me that fallout 3 isnt oblivion with guns recycled animations very where e.g. the gatekeeper = behemoth deathclaw=scalon feral ghoul = scamp/hunger then add a chance based aimbot then your done although I loved oblivion and the original fallout but atleast add something "new" to the game other than cool aimbot with slow motion and GORE EVERYWHERE although I praise them for better voice acting now every person from a race doesnt have the same voice but there are many recycled voices this concludes my rant.

The first thing that popped into my head when I read the question was MECH WARRIOR! *crying in a corner now* Man I loved the classic Mech games, I grew up with them like the C&C franchise. Thinking about it more I think I'd also throw in Earth & Beyond, Eve Online is not the same thing! lol

Easy. Clover Studios and the NiGHTS franchise. Clover made Okami (HOORAY FOR MORE SHOEHORNING!) and Viewtiful Joe. Both were amazingly awesome games. As for NiGHTS, I never even got to play the original, but I always wanted to. I got Journey of Dreams and I loved it, so continue the franchise!

The Chrono Series. Both games in the series were excellent.

Wow I think of this topic all the time. For starters Jet moto. It was simply awesome race game. Rock and roll raceing made by the same guys who made games such as jill of the jungle,warcraft starcraft and world of warcraft. You guessed it blizzard. Um Arcanum a rpg by troika and sierra bar non top 5 rpg's i ever played. Baldurs gate 3 for pc(the console games are nothing in comparison) The old clocktower games were awesome not the newest one. A new starfox would be nice. 13 was a great shooter would be a nice thing to see a sequel. Red dead revolver and gun. Outlaws was a awesome wildwest shooter from lucas arts i believe. Quest for glory from sierra was totally gold. Kings quest would be best left as a memory unless they really brought it back in great fashion. The old leisure suit larrys not this new gta ripoff/not funny game. Phantasmagoria hmm um gabriel knight, laura bow, halloween harry, commander keen, A wolfenstein game thats not garbage. rise of the triad. streets of rage,battletoads and for the love of god fatal frame on computer. make use of duel nvidias yeah...yeah do i got more? yeah but its all you get from memory lane.

Intelligent cube, F-1 racing,mdk, its about time for a warcraft 4 a Fallout mmo Gta to die or at least go away for many years. Twisted metal, a 4extreme would be fun. dynasty warriors to die or koi in general a new onimusha halo also needs to die for lack of story and all the fanboys who love average games that are 5 hours long. Gears of war is garbage. Oh monkey island needs to come back in a big way so theres many more. Adventure games arent dead just dormant. Oh blood from monolith and doesnt need to be said but duke nukem.
