Crash Bandicoot!
Yes its still around but I haven't played a good one since 3!
And i don't count crappy mario cart rip-offs as real Crash games. Rolling around in ball works for metroid, NOT marsupials!
I have a sudden craving for peaches that defy gravity.

Back when PS2 was big me and my friends would always play freedom fighters. We didn't ever fight over the flag in multiplayer we just messed around the whole time it was so fun. We even had nicknames for the buildings on the brooklyn level, Bringing it back with new graphics and online multiplayer would be epic

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic by Bioware. The second one wasn't made by them and I don't want an MMO. The original is my favorit game of all time.

I miss Goldeneye 007. That was one of the first games I ever played. I don't have an N64 anymore so I can't play it and I was sad when it wasn't made for XBLA. I still think it is one of the greatest games ever (tied with Pokemon Silver, Paper Mario and Super Smash Bros. Melee of course)

I miss the Oddworld franchise. Too bad Oddworld Inhabitants decided they didn't want to make games anymore.

I miss Lucas Arts' Outlaws and No One Lives Forever.

I really miss the Viewtiful Joe series. All of the games featured great comic-style graphics, various different enemey types, incredible boss battles, delicious and classic side-scroller type gameplay, teqniques that required mastery to correctly use, but simple to learn, with massive potential for beautfiful combos.

Throw in some insane boss battles, constant action, and a good sense of humor, and the game is a winner in my book.

Final Fantasy. I mean, why'd they have to stop making them? I mean, after 6, everyone loves the series, then suddenly, POOF! It's gone. What a shame. I bet 7 would have awesome. Think about it, if they kept making FF, they might be at around 13 or so.

I miss Technos (River City Ransome, Super Dodgeball) mostly because of the character designs and really strong nosologia for their fun games.

Also Metal Arms is in fact an awesome game.

to me, sonic. I believe the series died when he made the transition from 2d to 3d.

Dark Forces.
I want a high quality Star Wars FPS done with a new game engine like the Unreal engine or even the Source engine. I want it based in the Rebel vs. Empire, so I won't even have to hear Hayden"pouty-face"Christiansen.
I want to shoot Stormtroopers, not Clonetroopers. I want a boss battle with Boba Fett, Bosk, and IG-88.
No elements from the new movies.

I miss "Shoot'em Up" games as a whole. Games like R-type, Darius, 1942, etc. Nothing like surviving bullet hell or upgrading your ship to god status only to lose it all for running into the side of a pixalated mountain. Sure these games can all be beaten in 30min flat but dont kill off the whole genre.

Sonic the Hedgehog, the original 3 games I count as a franchise on their own and all others are just spinoffs. I wish and pray that we will get Sonic 4, a brand new number in the series and a side scroller like the classics, give it the MegaMan 9 treatment. Sonic was my second favorite character, behind Mario, because Mario still holds up so great. Super Mario Galaxy, amazing, Sonic Unleashed, not worth the plastic used to make the box the disc comes in. Get rid of the Werehogs, get rid of the black knights and the secret rings and all the other allies. I'd rather have just Sonic, Robotnik, and some new running levels in HD in 2D, rather than a crappy 3D next gen game. Go back to the roots, it's a cash cow waiting to be milked.

Star Control from ToysforBob

An amazing game with an amazing depth and story for an IP that exists only in game form. I hope some day Toysforbob stop being forced to make lame movie tie-ins and are allowed to bring this franchise back!

Gotta be Viewtiful Joe. Loved that series, there were amazing graphics, a good sense of humour, and it was hard as nails!

Mortal kombat. MK vs DC killed it for me. We want brutal, visceral, chunky, violencey, gore filled gameplay. I want to rip a spine out, crush a skull with the beautiful Unreal Engine 3 powering every drop of bloody goodness. Scorpion + Gears esque visuals + SFIV gameplay = happy gamer
