I'll label my list from 5-1, 1 being the best:

5.Kingdom Hearts
4.Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
3.Super Mario 64
2.Knights of the Old Republic
1.The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

wow thats hard... um...
Can I have more then 5? No? Damnit!
Umm... ok, I'll try...

1)Sonic CD / Sonic the Hedgehog 3
I just can't pick between the two. Sonic CD had a cute story, wonderful graphics, and decent sound. While Sonic 3 had cool sprites, nice BGM, Bad-Ass Knuckles, and... MORE TAILS ABUSE!

2)Sonic Adventure
AKA: The best new-gen, 3-D Sonic game ever. period.

3)Super Mario Bros.
THE ORIGINAL PLATFORMER! Probably, the first game I ever played! When I play this on the Wii (Virtual Console), I always feel soooo old!

4)Super Smash Bros Brawl
THE BEST FIGHTING GAME EVER! Complete with the best Roster ever. New, old, and costom levels, and a story mode (I forget what its called). It's the God of all Fighting Games

5)Pokemon Yellow
Red, and Blue Verson... IMPROVED! I just think it's cool that pikachu follows you around, you get to interact with him, and stuff. It's cool. I wish the new Pokemon games were like Yellow Verson...

This question is the question that I have wondered about since time began. "If only anyone would encourage me, and care about it. Then I'd make my list". That day has come, and now I am making the decision of my life.

1. Half-life 2
2. Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour
3. Super Mario World
4. Portal
5. Kingdom Hearts

...I have done it....Gamesradar, you have completed my life...thank you....:D. This was possibly the hardest decision of my life. Games like Littlebigplanet and Uncharted make me wonder if I've made the right decision...and yes...I have.

For me it has to be these

1. Super Mario 64- it was the first game that i ever owned and it is the reason that i'm addicted to games. As a child unknowing of the power that a single cartridge could bring, to the imagination

2. Super Smash Bros Melee- I was eleven when it first came out and i used to scam everyone into playing it against me, often it would be people much older than me playing a match of 3 vs 1. Its the game that made me want to make a career out of them (video Games)

3. Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic- Wow this game traumatized me into actually caring about the decisions i make in a game, it enveloped me into its story and actually made me feel a part of it. Great F***ing game

4. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time- The first game to actually introduce me to the "smashing the control" thing, this game made me feel accomplished when i was finally done with it (as if though id just won the Nobel Peace Prize). Its also the only series that i keep playing until i pass it... no matter what it takes or how much time.

5. Rockband- Ultimate party game, play it at least twice a week and its the only thing that my whole family agrees to do during thansksgiving, Christmas, and new years.. good memories... mostly drunk ones....

1) Outcast
2) Grim Fandango
3) Deus Ex

Those are probably the only ones i can rank, i find it really hard to make a top list of anything. I could fill the other two spots with any number of games from a variety of genres and i just wouldnt be happy with rating one slightly above the other.

I'd probably have to through Unreal Tournament 99 in there though as i played (and still play) it probably more than any other game ever thanks to its increbile mod/mapping community.

But then that would leave only one spot for Half-life, MGS3, System Shock 2, LBP, Uncharted, Age of Empires 2, Serious Sam, Fallout, Thief, Worms Armageddon, Dino Crisis 2...and so on.

The 3 i did rank though were just so incredbily good that i can feel at least somewhat comfortable putting them in my top 3.

5)Hitman Blood Money- One reason I loved this game was because it felt so awesome when your plan goes smoothly and when you put people in the Dump Truck and crush them.

4)Prototype- Nothing's more satisfying than ripping people apart with your big ass claws.

3)Saints Row 2- Just so much to do in this game, and the customization in the game is cool. Also tazing people is just plan fun.

2)Portal- Ohhh how much fun I had with this game. Story was good, it's gameplay was solid, and it was one of the best puzzle games I have ever played.

1)Super Mario RPG- The game that I wasted my childhood on. It is just plan awesome. How can you go wrong. It was developed by Square and Nintendo, it had good graphics for the SNES, and it has Mario. I remember renting it not knowing that I was going to play it for about 5 more years. One of the best RPG games and it will always have a place in my heart.

How can u only let us pick five! But whatever here we go...
1. Banjo Tooie/Banjo Kazooie (i can't split these two up, and once i play one i have to play the other, these games are just full of good memories)
2. Kingdom Hearts/Kingdom Hearts 2 (again just can't split them up, it was tough to put these at #2, but i sold my ps2 to buy a wii, (what a waste) and as such havent been able to play these over cause my ps3 doesn't freaking have backwards compatability)
3.Streets of Rage, Sega Genesis (owned it for over ten years before ever beating it, so close so many times, but i still love it to death)
4. Super Smash Bros., N64 (probably the game i've put the most hours into ever playing it over and over with my brother)
5.Pokemon Gold, Gameboy Color (multiple 120 hour games, comes in fifth due to the fact that all pokemon games are really similiar
Honorable Mentions: Mario Kart 64, Zelda Oot (the only zelda played more than once) Golden Axe (never beaten it in the 10+ years of owning it)

as given from my name, my list may be a bit predictable.

5. Fallout 3 - this game changed my view of open world games and rpg shooters.

4. Gears of War 1/2 - For me this was a big change when they implemented this cover system, i thought it was the coolest thing at the time.

3. Call of Duty 4 - The singleplayer was at least decent but the multiplayer set a new standard for all other games that wanted to include a good multiplayer.

2. GTA 4 - I had been a fan of gta b4 but i didnt really like doing the story missions in the ps2 versions of gta. Once gta 4 came out, i was blown away. Thats all i wanted to do, it combined an amazing storyline with classic gta gameplay.

the number 1 is...........

1. Left 4 Dead - This game was huge for me because it open my eyes to an amazing co op experience. and what was suprising to me is that it wasnt just a tacked on split screen co op this game was built for 4 people from the ground up. I dont remember the last time ive had so much fun in a video game when your playing versus mode with a bunch of your friends. This game is a blast.

Honorable Mentions:
Call of Duty world at war
God of war 1 and 2, Chains of olympus
Half Life 2
Portal
GTA Vice City and San Andreas
Battlefield Bad Company
Metal Gear Solid 4 ( this one was close to be number 5 on my list)
Mass Effect

ok... I'll try to list all of my favorites.

1.) Super Smash Bros. Brawl: I'm sure I don't have to explain why I like it, but it could have been waaaay better with create-a-character (not just people, but anything)

2.) Pokemon Platinum: Would've put Crystal here, however that entire generation of Pokemon games were destroyed (Silver: lost 9 years ago, Gold: A "freind" threw it against a wall, and Crystal: Glitched out, took it to a different friend's house, then dismantled by his EVIL 2nd cousin.)

3.) Mario Kart (any): The only problem I have with this game is THAT ****ING BLUE SHELL!!!!

4.) FF3 (DS, USA release): Treebird1 let me borrow it played it for 2 months straight, and then felt guilty for not returning it and gave it back.

5.) Pokemon R/B, Dragon monster warriors 2 (again Treebird1 let me borrow it), Pikmin 1&2, Super Mario Galaxy, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (the last good sonic game :( ), and New Super Mario Bros.

wait, that's more than 5. Oh well, who cares?
griffed88  - 4 months 2 days ago
1. Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind
2. Knights of the Old Republic
3. Final Fantasy 7
4. World of Warcraft
5. Counter-Strike
griffed88  - 4 months 2 days ago
Oh wait, gotta put Pokemon in there, spent more time in that game than U.S has spent in Iraq...

1.Call of Duty 4 (great story, great multiplayer, perfect gameplay)

2.Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway(I actually like the story better than in COD4 but the gameplay isn't as polished)

3.Ninja Gaiden 2(Wonderfully satisfying combat but the retarded story and iffy camera keep this at number 3)

4.Grand Theft Auto 4(incredible and heart wrenching story)

New Super Mario Bros(best 2D Mario game)
anubisduo13  - 4 months 2 days ago
Hmm, tough question really.
Here goes:

1)Bioshock
2)Super Smash Bros Melee
3)Freelancer
4)Pokemon Crystal/Silver/Gold
5)Fallout 3

Choosing 5 games out of all of the games I've played is tough, especially since I can't remember half the games I've played. Then again, if I can't remember it, it probably wasn't notable enough to make this list.
Ricky1794  - 4 months 2 days ago
metal gear all the way up to metal gear solid 3 (excludeing subsistence for 2 and three and the twin snakes for GC) and the only reason i didnt put mgs4 on there is because i'm to proud of being loyal to microsoft to go and buy a PS3

You know it's to hard to say what my top five is since it changes everyday, but one game always stays #1 for me and that is Legend of Zelda Ocarina of time. That game showed assholes that 3D games are alot better than 2D it made Nintendo Bigger and Better and it did the trend of action/adventure/puzzle right. In fact that game must of rub some of that magical shit on to me because after I beat the game my friend who had an ocarina and sucked bet me 300 dollars that I couldn't play it on my first time and I owned his ass at it. So I Ocarina all the way nuff said.

1- Ocarina of Time

Ocarina of time is definitely the best game ever made. Damn, I really love this game, even though I never actually owned a copy of it myself. But that didn't stop me from playing it a lot, because I was always borrowing it from my friends, back then.

2- Metal Gear Solid

The game that brought the franchise back to life is the second best of all times, in my opinion, and the best game of my favorite franchise. One of the best examples of how the gaming industry grew up with the help of the Playstation, showing everyone that games are not only kid's stuff anymore.

3- Chrono Trigger

I must confess that I only played it on an emulator. I never had a SNES, so i only got to play it years after it was released. But anyways, this is the best RPG ever made, with it's incredible storyline, with the possibilities to travel through time. I must also mention the game graphics, with the character designs made by one of the best mangakas ever, Akira Toriyama.

4- GoldenEye 007

Goldeneye is probably the best FPS ever made for a console. This game showed to the world it is possible to make a great FPS that dosn't require a mouse of a keyboard to be played. It also had a great multyplayer mode, taking advantages of the 4 joystick inputs the N64 had, making it one of the best games to play with your buddies (that is, if none of them choose to play with Oddjob).

Oh, and not to mention it's one of the few movie based games that doesn't suck.

5- GTA San Andreas

San Andreas is one of the best last generation games. It has one of the biggest world to explore, with it's 3 cities and country side, making it a lot fun to explore. You can literally spend hours just driving around, doing nothing. But the game also have a great storyline, great voice acting and a lot of cool missions.
One of the must have games of the last generation.

Top Five:

1. Deus Ex: Best game I've ever played. I cared about the characters, the story, the setting, it is the only game that I can call an experience.

2. Final Fantasy 7
3. Final Fantasy 8: These two games have always triggered an emotional chord with me. As a nerdy teenager with few friends, I found solace in these game worlds (sounds lame, I know).

4. GTA (any PS2 iteration): I've logged more time on these than any other.

5. Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver: The best acting in a game I've ever heard. The gameplay was simple which was fine, but the story held this one above the rest.

I've played all these games multiple times and enjoy them still. Also of note, is that they all have great soundtracks. I think good music bonds you to the experience more.
JizzyB  - 4 months 2 days ago
Honorable mention: Zelda:OoT, Jedi Knight 2, Halo 2 (better maps and multiplay than 3)
Smeggs  - 4 months 2 days ago
In no particular order...
1:Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (always gives me fond memories of childhood) (SNES)

2:Fallout 3 (Over 100+ Hours on just my first playthrough)(360)

3:Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (Actually just played it again last week, love the characters and story, especially combat) (GC)

4:Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (I liked it, the art style, the new aproach to gameplay and settings, screw you nay-sayers)(GC)
5: Super Smash Bros. Melee (Just a fun invite-friends fighter, Brawl would have been a choice but it seems like the characters from Brawl were less sensitive to my mad analog stick spinning)

2. Call of Duty: World at War
3. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2
4. LittleBigPlanet
5. Savage Moon (PSN)
