One summer, I dug up an old copy of Myst and decided to give it another shot. I loved it, and luckily for me, the final game in the series was being released in about a month. I bought every single Myst game and completed them all in a row, capping it off with Myst V.
Say what you will about how obtuse those games are. Going through all them immediately one after the other was one of the most powerful experiences I've taken from gaming, on par with watching a miniseries or TV show season.
For some of those people who were born in the early ninties, as i was, many of the series started in the 80s, so i was unable to obtain metal gear 1 and 2(japan exclusive in 80s), i and mgs until about a week ago, and i still need a ps3, so mgs4 wasn't started yet, and portable ops is not out. by the time i get my hands on portable ops, peace walker will be out, and as i get guns of the patriots, the ps4 and metal gear solid 5 (6 including peace walker) will be out so i think this is a hard question to answer since game series keep making more and more games. forget about beating all of the mario games, you'll have to waste your entire life to do that. there is at least 2 or 3 out every year.
i have beat all the legend of zelda games from oot to twilight princess not including the ones for the portable versions.
i did play all the super smash bros games from the first one to the 3rd one. ahh the memories of senselessly beating anyone who would challenge me, completing the first one, the melee version, the brawl version, in fact, i almost did everything there is to do on that game, i have only 3 awards left to unlock on brawl so this has to work here.
NelosAngelos, response to your star fox comment, i used to play the one for the snes, i still consider it the best one, although technically there was supposed to be a 2nd one for snes, but they canned it so that they could release one for the n64. as soon as it came to gc, that was it's downfall as soon as that rare put their sticker on the adventures game. that was undoubtedly, worst game ever!(imagine i said that like the comic book guy on the simpsons)
The legend of zelda series I completed all games form legend of zelda to phaantom hour glass and soon spirit tracks. Even brawl. I'm so much a fan I even beat ocarinia of time on master level that bonus disk thingy. This is a major accomplishment since I was to scared to play ocarinia of time and majora's mask because of the Re-Deads. They always make me piss my pants when ever they scream.
Ratchet and Clank series. including the psp, the dlc, and even the cell phone version. It's an awsome series. Also I've upgraded all the weapons and got 9999999 bolts in all of them. It was the second video game i ever played (first being spy hunter2)
This is going to sound pitiful but the only series that I can say for sure is Resistance on PS3.... whoops there is a PSP game for that isn't there? And I almost said God of War until I remembered the PSP for that too. I am working on the Metroid series now.
i got metal gear solid 4 bundled with my ps3 and after playing it i was compelled to play the rest of the series to find out more about the seemingly intriging story. so i played snake eater, then sons of liberty, finally metal gear solid 1.
i had so much fun i even played through the original metal gear and then metal gear 2: solid snake. those games sucked but the story was interesting.
This ones easy; Halo, Metal Gear, Resident Evil, Shenmue, Jet Set Radio, Gears of War, Panzer Dragoon, Sonic (including all the spinoffs released in the UK), Banjo Kazooie, Half Life........... the list goes on and on.
The Jak and daxter games, 1,2,3 Daxter and Jak X racing.
I would say the Time splitters games as well, but i never got every single character on the 2nd or 3rd games.
Never completed Metal gear solid 3, or Ac!d 2, but did the others.
Halo, of course and Gears too.
I have beaten both of the KOTOR games. I won't be able to get the new one because my computer isn't capable of running it. And even if it could it would be to slow to enjoy.
