Marvel vs. DC: the games

Which superhero game is right for you? Marvel Ultimate Alliance or Justice League Heroes? Look no further

Heroes

A videogame featuring multiple superheroes can only be as cool as its character roster. While both games have the expected iconic heroes, it's the second-tier guys and gals that make or break the team. After all, Batman needs a Robin (and Oracle, Commissioner Gordon, Harvey Bullock, etc.) and Superman needs a Lois (and Jimmy Olson, Perry White, Dan Turpin, etc.).

Justice League Heroes: The magnificent seven of the Justice League are here: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern John Stewart, Flash and Zatanna. That's certainly enough power to take on any threat to the universe. Unlockable characters include two more Green Lanterns (Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner), Aquaman, Green Arrow, Hawkgirl and The Huntress. Overall, it's a diverse cast that offers a good variety of heroes, powers and gameplay possibilities.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance: Unfortunately, for the competition, the cast in Marvel Ultimate Alliance is ridiculous. You've got well known heroes like The Fantastic Four, a smattering of X-Men, Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man and Thor. There are also secondary characters like Luke Cage, Deadpool, Dr. Strange, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, Elektra and more. Then there are unlockable characters like Daredevil, Black Panther, The Silver Surfer and Blade. The scary part is there are even more heroes!

The Winner: Marvel Ultimate Alliance delivers a crushing blow to Justice League Heroes with its huge cast of playable characters. It's not even close here. You just have more choices, more possibilities and potentially more fun with the heroes in Marvel Ultimate Alliance.
