I think people who say WaW is better have just forgotten how amazing they thought CoD4 was when it came out, and before they played it to death.

come on guys any non Infinity Ward COD in my opinion is just Activision cashing in on the franchise in my opinion. Although, United Offensive's multiplayer was really awesome. That's only because UO had made a really intense vehicle based mutliplayer experiance that had 1up'ed BF1942. You just cant compete with the frantic single player campaign that Inifinity Ward invented with COD. Stop with the COD4 boners, it was a great game but come on guys look at the dev history for crissakes.

are u crazy??? the infinity ward guys didn't take on COD3 because they were just too bored. Two years later they create COD4 a real masterpiece,and you still think it's worse than COD WaW! What do you like in the game anyway? the super high-tech a-la Tom Clancy guns? The suspens "oh my god, what the bloody hell is going to happen next" Oh, i know the allies win! COD4 rulezzzzzzzzz!

Now, I'm going to go out on a limb here and risk being trashed by every CoD4 fan out there. CoD4 is original to the franchise, but not to FPS games that fall in the modern time genre. I can't even begin counting the amount of games that you could compare closely to it.
Don't get me wrong, the CoD4 system did wonders for the franchise, and brought something different to the table, but Call of Duty is pretty much the only game to re-account the campaigns through out WW2 successfully (sorry Medal of Honor, you suck something big). Thats why I prefer World at War and skipped gettting the fourth game completely (I have played though).

I like both games a lot but I think COD4 is better.WWII is boring.I liked the modern setting of COD4.I liked the WAW flamethrower but it is not that amazing.Rather have a helicopter than some dogs.

i counted all the comments and wat people voted for, cod4 won. i personnally liked cod4 better just because the franchise has done one too many ww2 games and they r all the same. a little modern madness was wa they needed to get more fans. And the different weapons
