i like both games and each are great in their own aspects but gears of war 2 graphics are better and the fact that you can kill people in so many different ways but in halo u can crate maps on forge and drive loads of different things eg banshes and scorpians and halo has 4 and about to be 5 games and loads of different books and comics so i would say that halo has a bigger fan base but gears of war can be more fun so overall i am undecided on what is better

theres no compititon gears all the way the badass losust and marcus and dom cole and baird the best charecters in console history nooo way halo beats gears never in billion years. i mean all u do in halo is run jump shoot theres no tactics involved in gears u have to have a gameplan in halo the only game plan in halo is camp wit a shotgun wow real hard. gears all the way.i admit i find my self playing halo 3 and its fun but theres no comparison between the 2.

i like both games alot. i think gears has a better story, but halo has better co-op. but gears has horde mode, making you feel the need to team up with your friends to survive. in halo, you burn through enough ammo and you'll win the fight. in gears you need to adapt to survive. their online is mostly the same to me, though halo is a little bit better. halo's vehicles are more fun to drive/fly but gears vehicles seem more realistic. except for the lamp-gun destroys krill by looking at them thing... i think games that are massive like this should act LIKE fallout and let you customize your soldier. i dont mean like how you customize your spartan/elite in halo. i mean like, voice, expressions, specialtys, height. that would be fun and probably get both platforms alot of money....
