well, i love halo, but never played gears so I'm not logically allowed to say that halo is better there for THE XBOX 360 WINS lol

ok first of all gaylo makes no sense i played the third one the first day i got it i took it back. the multiplayer is the SAME no new improvements were made nothing. the campaign mode didnt make sense there was no like point it was just stupid now gears on the other hand is amzing in every way i have played gears 2 and they improved everything even wat the bullet sounds are in my opnion gaylo sucks might as well call it halo 2.1

I like both series, but at the moment, I prefer Gears. We'll see if that changes when Recon comes out.

first of all gears is way way way better the graphics the co-op the story and the weapons so why does any one like halo better you have so mch fun on gears story and almost no fun on halos story. on halo you just want to try and beat the game its to routine. on gears you have fun all the way.

I Loved Halo played all three was a fanatic. My friends tried to show me other games but none were as good as halo. And then i saw Gears and that is the first game that truelly beat down and curbstomped Halo for me. Everything about is new. Unlike halo which the more i look at the more i see the simalerities to COD4 etc.

1)Both games are FREAKIN amazing in almost every way.
2)They both have extremely memorable characters, stories, and settings so neiher game is "better" than the other, they just have different playability that gives them many dedicated fans to both games.
3)To any people that havent played either of these games that are just reearching w/out playing them(wierdos), play both these games. You'll thank me later.
4)Gears does NOT take place on Earth like it says in the story category

gears is a little better then halo because it has a better story and weapon selection.

I am going to have to say that at this pont Gears 2 is a much better story line for me, adn the horde feature online is awesome. However, Halo 3's online multiplayer cannot be beat. And 4 player co-op is better than two. I believe that the weapons are much better in Halo 3. I just like the feel of the shotgun. But they are both amazing games that should both hold the #1 spot.

Gears wins with #1 and #2 just puts it way over the edge

I know calvinzawolf posted a long time ago,but seriously...what is with halo is that Master Chief is a CYBORG!A SUPER-SOLDIER!Jesus,next you'll be saying that GTA 4 isn't realistic enough because you can take more than one bullet,because I suppose it doesn't matter to people like you if someone is a war veteran or a super-soldier.Halo wins.

Gears and Gears 2 beats the entire halo series. Yes Hao is a good game but Gears characters are actually believable and so is the setting the wepons are a lot more creative and the gritty graphics and settings makes it look so much more like a war instead of Halos perfect environment.

Man freak this!!Gears is a beast,no dis-respect to Halo but they havent stepped up! Dont forget about the shotgun,tag bombs on people,sniper..and the story mode is a beast..give Gears its respects1

Ok here's where everyone fails to relize something about halo and gears(notice i said halo not halo trilogy it comes into play later) gears has LOT'S AND LOTS OF BROWN because epic had a apex in thought brown can also be used to make depressing enviroments if used correctly well they suceed in doing just that making a depressing game gears as very little people because this is exactly what it is FIGHT FOR HUMANITY'S SURVIVAL.The controls are a little odd at first and aren't as fluid as Halo's where when it came out on Xbox but it also had some sluggishness to it sure the multiplayer you can't jump but tell me who can jump 30ft while wearing over 100+pounds NO ONE THAT'S WHO so your stuck in the dirt somthing which i love very much because of the fags who halo jump just so they can't get hit and the first gears mp was crappy because no one knows what the word Tactical means and a bunch of whiny little 8yr olds are playing along with the piece of crap halo 2 & 3. My opinion on GoW was 8.5.(Now for Halo)Halo good game 2 & 3 should have never been made Bungie fails at making sequels halo was an arcade style run and gun game halo 2 & 3 are what you could call the brain child of a thinker yet the games are horrible not enough shooting and to much story the first one had very little to no story at all pure gung ho fun what happened with halo! Shooting and running out of ammo and queer guns that take a life time to kill some one and horribly driven story that need countless games,comics,and books to tell the story. And the mystery behind how johnson got back HE FREAKING DIED why the hell is he in two and three???? Hero time Marcus is an EX HERO Master chief a DULL,BORING,and RETARDED HERO a.k.a cliche'! Marcus is not a hero by any standards he is a criminal in armor and weilding a gun who is harsh tactful and resourceful! Chief(Yes sir kill anything that moves over) what the hell man no fun!


And i have played all three halos and i have played gears halo was awsome i won't even talk about halo NOT HAVING A CLIFF HANGER

This is like comparing the Lancer to the Assault Rifle. OK, so people with a gaming history will pick the Chief, but there are more people in the world that are only just getting into games, and they are going to look at the boxes and say " Ooh this green guy looks pretty cool with his gu-OMFG GUN WIT TEH CHAINSAAAAAAAWZ!!!!1!1!1!!!1!!". I rest my poorly thought out case.

for both GOW and halo multiplayer, you really wana watch out for UberZ Snipers with shotguns....

how bout this they make a game where MC and marcus meet and team up then at the end you gotta duel or fight to the death. it would be cool to have weapons vehicles to be side by side then you could realy determine which is better

Get serious guys, sure halo has pretty mountains but Gears has it were it counts. In any halo game all you have to do is charge into the enemy while firing randomly, and you still win...while Gears takes actual skill with better weapons. The graphics are way better and the game is built around coop like chris said.
