There are two types of gamers: the ones who love explosions, and the ones who love explosions in 1080p at 60 fps. Whether you’re a fan of shooters or strategy games, 8-bit or HD, we still all share the common appreciation of a good bang (ha, you WISH!). To show our love of all things that go BOOM, we’ve collected some of videogames' most epic explosions and set them to a bangin’ soundtrack. Of course, we couldn’t get every single videogame explosion ever, because a billion zillion videogames have them (yes, even Puzzle Fighter). But here are some of the best of the best. See if you can identify all the games in the video below!

When you ask gamers what they love about explosions, you’re most likely going to get one or a combination of the following answers:

• Explosions are BIG!
• Explosions are BRIGHT!
• Explosions are LOUD!
• Explosions are EXCITING!
• ASPLOAD AM SHINY111
• Explosions are HELLA COOL! (Or MAD cool, if you’re on the East Coast.)

Then ask gamers WHY they think explosions are so effin’ awesome, and most won’t be able to answer that question. It’s like asking why babies like colorful things that move – they just do. We have the primal desire to play with fire, and the gratuitous explosions in videogames exaggerate the sensations we inexplicably love so much.

In other news that was cool and explosions are also cool, hence the video being cool. Liked the inclusion of the boomer.

im glad both old and new games were featured, but i think it was missing a shit-ton of explosions.

not a single Goldeneye 007 one.
no Artillery strike from Battlefield 2.

its ok, but lacking.

Megaton was in there at 1:43, only it wasn't blown up at night like most other videos show it. Sweet video by the way.

HURRAY FOR EXPLOSIONS!!! my favorites are Nuke from CoD 4, Scarab from Halo 3( where you can make it even better by changing camera angle), LEGO Death Star(HURRAY FOR LEGOSPLOSIONS!) However, how can you have an Explosion Video without including a Single DBZ clip. They're practically asking for it.

Yeah, I had a good majority of those games, but the Wario one was kind of a spoiler, thanx GR, jk. Because my Brawl has a scrached disc and im stuck at 22%.

But yeah, I still love Scarab and Phantom explosions.

Some great booms in there. The COD4 nuke was the first explosion where i was srlsy not blinking while watching it...a classic video

Actually, the spoiler is that the Wario bit from Super Smash Bros. Brawl was from their E3 trailer. So people have seen it before the game came out. :x

I feel that if you do blow up Megaton if Fallout 3 then you should do it at night. It looks so much cooler than if you do it during the day.
