Winner: Activision / Harmonix bitchfest
Guitar Hero III, Rock Band | Activision, Harmonix

While playing Rock Band, Xbox 360 owners can freely swap between Guitar Hero III's controller and Rock Band's Stratocaster look-alike. Activision, quick to say "nuh-uh," said Harmonix was "painting a misleading picture." The mega-publisher then went on to clarify that statement, admitting they wanted money from Harmonix before the controller patch would be allowed. At the time of this writing, the pissing contest rages on while PS3 gamers wonder when the suits will just suck it up and release the damn patch. It used to be about the music...

Scratched disc: Rock Band's naming restrictions
EA | 360PS3

We named our band "Zamboner." Silly, yes, but apparently too crass for Rock Band's online community. They won't let us use a boner pun, yet EA-approved bands Buzzcocks and Vagiant are totally fine. Also, you can't use "Help, My Friends are Inside." What the hell, guys?
