Why complain about the amount of pages? What are you? Blessed with the attention span of a gnat and incapable of reading a little bit more than a newspaper column?
Wow, I guess no other games exist outside of the Playstation brand. Anyway, if anyone's played "Lost Planet" then anyone would know how the explosions in that game are the most realistic and best looking to date(see for yourself, it's guaranteed you'll agree). I'm also convinced that if any other game's walls look the best it would be Gears of War's walls. They are by far the most detailed and best looking. Just those 2 games I would have included. And Black definitely deserves recognition, it's what most people liked about that game.
@tenaxis
wow man (or woman) get some classic gaming knowledge.
you really didnt even know sonic?
anyway not ripping into you just saying its good to know your roots.
:)
What's with all the Playstation love? I can agree with you on most of the PS3 choices, but I know there were better examples of a lot of these objects than PS and PS2 choices. For example, I think that Goldeneye/Perfect Dark on the N64 had better explosions than G-police on the PS.
Still a really fun read. I love looking back at games that I though were revolutionary and seeing how weak they are in comparison to today.
It seems like a wider range of examples could be used instead of the three times Drake's Fortune is mentioned. Like the water, what about Bioshock? That game was all about the water!
