My New Years resolution is start playing games on hard rather than normal. :]
I would like an epic shirt (preferably Resident Evil or Prince of Persia), Statue of Happiness, or the Warhammer Online: Prelude to War graphic novel :]
My gaming new year's resolution is to actually finish all the good games i have like Assassin's Creed, achievement whore all the ones I have beat, and MAYBE play my Wii if I get too bored...
In 2009 I'd like to play some games I haven't played in the last two years, because people keep approaching me on the street, and from across the road they're just like "Hey, Dweeb, play Orange Box!" and I'm like "I'll get around to it!" and they're like "Goddamn Nerd!" and then they pull out the bicycle chains and planks and beat me up. You would not believe how much shit I get, even normally. Like, I'm trying to play Battlefront, and they'll just show up and be like "Play Bioshock, Nerd!" and they'll start team-killing me and the whole time I'll be like "But I'm playing something else now!" and they'll be like "Too bad Dork!" I mean, it's gotten so bad that my Boss has even started accosting me at work, being like "I'd like you to put covers on your TPS reports, play Civ:Revolutions you sweaty dweebface." and I'll be like "I'm try to do my best!" and then he'll tell me that if I screw up one more time, I'm dead, you hear me, dead!
So, I'd like, if I could be so lucky, and you could be so kind as to grant me my wish, weil Sie meine Wunsch fuhlen, dann I would like:
1. "Fartiest Games" Games
2. VHS Tapes
3. Warhammer Online GN.
And here's to me not playing games that are quite so esoteric!
I pledge (or should I say PLEDGED) to not be tricked into signing up for a website just to win free swag, even if i have been a fan for a long time. (you tricky bastards).
For that, i would like to win the South Park DVD.
I pledge to not let my life be further consumed by the televisual crack that is Lost. Since I already lost one resolution, might as well lose two. (anyone catch that subtle "lost" play on words? anyone?)
For that, I would like Lost. (seriously, check out that play on words above)
I pledge to destroy inane pun-stealing movies in the fires of hell/my BBQ/a BIC lighter.
For that, I NEED Disaster Movie. (A phrase that should never ever ever be repeated by anyone)
Also, my second new year's resolution is to not buy a turbo controller for said button mashing achievement and my third is to learn how to edit posts so I don't have follow up comments several pages apart.(First comment on 2nd page of comments)
4th resolution is to read rules more carefully in contests so I don't do something I was supposed to do in my first post in my third post.
I would like:
my new years resolution is to win that ridonculous pokemon shirt. my other resolution is stop being canadian so i can enter these contests. i would give up that health care nonsense for that vicar of dibley vhs in heartbeat
My 5th resolution is to play more online games and get my money's worth out of the money I pay for LIVE. Even though it will require me to interact socially with human beings. In other words I will have to play...with other people.NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! My 6th resolution is to stop listening to the voices.
Gaming Resolution: #1) To explore every location in Fallout 3. #2) Play online with my friends at least once a week. #3) To actually find a decent headset that is not $200 bucks for xbox live!
If I win I would most like in this order: 1) Unquantifiable prize pack, 2) Dvd Southpark season 11, 3) Disaster movie Blu-Ray.
Thanks for this contest!
This resolution is not one for me but for game designers. On the subject of Co-op. DO NOT place online co-op or splitscreen co-op without the other. Team Fortress 2 I'm looking at you. And my 7th resolution is to not rhyme.(dammit)
This is my first comment EVER on this site, so I plan on making it a doozy. My New Year's Gaming Resolutions are diverse, but I'll try to cut it short.
The first involves catching up with everything that i missed in the gaming world (other than Nintendo) between 1990 to now. Whether I have to resort to buying classic game compilations or snatch a few from overpremium elitist collectors. When I was a kid the only systems I generally played were the Game Boy, the N64, random arcades, and occasionally my friends' NES, SNES, Sega anything up to Dreamcast, and XBOX. The only other systems I've bought are the PS1, PS2, and the PSP all on a casual level. I'm missing alot of SERIOUS quality in games ranging from classic PC stuff all the way to the modern consoles.
My second resolution (which is basically split in sections so I don't have to write more resolutions) is to personally SLAP certain game developers that are pissing me off.
1. Sega for singlehandedly desecrating one of my favorite video games "Sonic the Hedgehog"
2. Sony for not adding R2 and L2 buttons and a decent analog stick to the PSP, no matter how much that affects "full Playstation pocket-ability everywhere usage whatever"
3. Sony AGAIN for eventually re-releasing Gran Turismo 4 on PSP FOUR YEARS LATER even when they have a fifth installment in process.....derrrrr.
4. Sony: With a Vengeance for not just redesigning Final Fantasy VII itself COMPLETELY no matter HOW fantastic Crisis Core is.....
5. Sony: The Sequal to Another Obvious Transition to a Sequal for not making more games for the PSP, so us poor souls who can't afford a PS3 don't have to feel so pathetically poor and/or cheap (since we already bought another frickin computer)
6. Blizzard for waiting 10 GODFORSAKEN YEARS to create sequals for Starcraft and Diablo.....cruel and unusual punishment.
7. And last I will slap Bandai/Namco for making Ace Combat 6 with the awesome joystick and throttle combo EXCLUSIVE FOR XBOX 360.....BLASPHEMY!!
Sigh, ok enough ranting about the few rants I can remember (I may rant later on in the comments box on other articles just for giggles). My next resolution would be to save every penny I have so I can rejoice in the divinity that is the Playstation 3 (sorry not much of an XBOX fan guys) and possibly restore my loyalty to Nintendo if they get their crap in one sock and do some fanservice to hardcore gamers instead of old people and toddlers.
Last but not least, I will (effective immediately) only acknowledge the criticisms, reviews, previews, cheats, and fanservice of GamesRadar. It is obvious that this is the ONLY site without bias as far as I can see so all of you other game info and media
websites should make it easier on all of us gamers seeking for answers and just give up already.
I appreciate your time in reading my rants and extreme opinions, but if you would be so kind as to give a little something back since I have written the most ultimate, undisputed and undeniably awesome comment on this sweepstakes. The South Park DVD would be nice, but I don't currently own any other South Park seasons so if you gave me that one I would gradually approach insanity until I bought ALL of the other seasons, so that's not a very considerate gift for a cheapskate like me right? Instead I would rather have the Mega Man Prize Pack (for all of those sweet memories of arm-charging monster vaporizing goodness) or the Batman DVD. "Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na BATMAN!" Again, thank you for wasting your time on this "comment"
And to that abominably (is that a word?) long comment, I propose a toast to GamesRadar for saving my money and successfully advising me so I don't buy obnoxiously overadvertised craptastic games which gives me an opportunity to burn my retinas on the good one's. To you GR, Happy New Year.....
