At Capcom's big publisher day in 2007, we spoke to Inafune about Dead Rising 2 and co-op...
"...there are a lot of things that just make sense, that people who played the original are just going to want, so it's very easy to imagine the direction a sequel could go..."
of course, he goes on to say that it is all in the dream-state (back in April 2007.) still, I'd be shocked if it were announced that DR2 had no co-op. ZOMG i can't wait to play it111
I really enjoyed the original, but the lack of mobility (my biggest pet peeve) kept me a bit discouraged, and put an acrid taste in an otherwise sweet game.
One of the best games last year in terms of instilling mobility in an otherwise mobile-less genre was Dead Space. By incorporating elements of RE4 and the renowned "Over The Shoulder" view point made popular by Gears of War, Dead Space kept the Survival-Horror gameplay, but managed to rid itself of the sketchy gameplay of "Move forward, turn around 90 degrees, move forward again".
If Dead Rising II can rid itself of that enraging form of mobility, We might have a 10/10 on our hands... well... at least for me =P
Can't wait for DR2. Loved the first one, but i'm not so sure about the choice of setting. A casino is good but I kinda wanted something a little... wackier.
I first heard about dead rising 2 in game informer like 4 or so months back, and it didnt say much except that they were making one.dead rising 1 for the wii is just queer so i cant wait for dead rising 2
FINALLY ANOTHER and one i can play on the PS3!:)SWEET i always wanted to play a dead rising but the last one seemed a bit better ill have to wait till i can get more news on this and decide which is better
