I agree with most of these, but I definitely liked the arbiter parts of Halo 2 alot (invisibility and swords ftw). Also the endings of both GRAW games were really good.
josh's eyes are affected by las plagas at the end of re5... i think that makes for a good ending... maybe another wesker type?
fallout threes ending definately was gay because rl-3, fawkes, or charon could've done the code without being affected at all...
"A personal apology from the Chief for abandoning us for half of his game and leaving us with the miserable Arbiter. Thankfully, nothing says sorry like a nice box of chocolates and the decapitation of a second, unwanted playable character."
Well that's your opinion. I loved the Arbiter and was disappointed that you never play as him in 3. I mean John is awesome, but Arby at speaks more often than every three hours.
I really actually enjoyed the ending of Dead Rising it was more of a realistic one that makes you think. But he does survive for the next one if I'm correct
what about resistance: fall of man? after beating a long campaign, u expect something awesome to happen now that u defeated the chimera in europe... or did u? u just get picked up by these random dudes. yay? and u didnt even win europe anyway (it is revealed in game 2)
Correction:
There are six endings to Dead Rising.
In the best ending, Frank and Isabela defeat Brock and escape through a cave, alive and fine.
In the second-best ending, the U.S. is overrun by zombies but Frank and a few people in the crew escape in the helicopter with the rest of the survivors.
Mirror's Edge was an incredibly poor excuse for a story. They could have done so much with the "utopia" thread. I was expecting Bioshock in reverse (it actually worked) but instead got some lame-o canned story about separated siblings. Just addressing how fervently people living in this utopia with thousands of skyscrapers would've reacted to someone threatening to destroy it would've made for an interesting plot.
Nothing is worse than a game purposely leaving a huge plot hole only to have no sequel worked out. I think developers should never do that unless they already have the sequel half-finished.
I could pick 8 more of the lamest endings out of any two of the silent hill games. I don't think I've seen a single ending that makes playing through those games worthwhile.
what pissed me off about fallout three was that even though i was evil, i didnt do the evil FEV virus thing AND i sacrificed myself but the ending was still all like "even though you did the right thing, your still an evil bitch and im gonna talk shit about you instead of give you closure"
I didn't enjoy halo two's ending at all. It just left you grasping at the expectation of a next game. Fallout 3's ending was ok.... I guess but not as good as FF:Crisis Core.
How about Fable 2? "Let's see, the player just had a cool fight against a giant shard thing to set up the ending, what next?" "Ooh, I know! Let's kill off the dog, have a pointless little dream sequence, then have them press one button to beat Lucien in a way we're totally not going to explain, and then give them a choice that doesn't really affect anything!" "Brilliant!"
Kane and Lynch - worse ending ever. Fact. I actually played the end of it about 10 times, just to see if I'd done anything wrong to stop me getting the full ending, but nope. That's 10 hours of my life that I ain't getting back.
Kid Chameleon on the megadrive, playing through 100+ levels with no save points, or as it was back then save passwords to get an ending that makes Jurassic Park look awesome. Still the kid was one hell of a game & I guess I'll be one of a rare few who have seen said ending in its glory, without looking on websites
