God damn political correctness.
Here's a game that could give real insight into the conflicts of fighting unorthodox military elements in crowded locals and cities, and maybe be able to develop a sense of empathy for the everyday passer-by within those contested countries.
But there aren't any tits or angsty little shit protagonists, and it sparks meaningful political dialogue, so of course its just TOO MUCH.
lol great alternative names Turbo and Jamboy. XD
But I gotta say that Six days in Fallujah-Halo would make it look like Resistance in a modern war setting......=P But I understand that war vets hate this so I have no reason to be pissed of about this.......
why cancel? It is a game based on War, this was supposed to be super 1337 Realistic, and the mdia bashed it? Well, Up Yours. the media is just a dumb A$$es opinion who views the world through a crack through a door.
Correct me if I'm in the wrong here guys but wasn't this exactly what the people involved in this project wanted to avoid? The trivialization of an immensely personal and brutal battle. I really hope this game gets made right. So that bystanders and outsiders like us might have at least the smallest sense of appreciation that Falluja and its consequences, for both sides, were real and worthy of reflection.
by the way: Gotxxrock, i couldnt agree more. especially the angsty protagonists part, like Master Chief (hate that guy). also the shit protagonists, like EVERY character from Gears 2 (hate them all)
I'm a bleedin war vet, I've done two tours of Afghanistan and one of Iraq but nobody ever asks my opinion! I'd be more pissed off with CoD4(if it weren't so awesome), which really trivialises and romanticises war. But SDIF could have shed some light on the suffering and sacrifice those lads went through but hey, once again people jump to conclusions and waves their arms in the air screaming just because it's a game. People wouldn't be making this much fuss if it were a film.
Oh yeah, Six Days in a lift with Carrot Top - much more traumatisin
