Didn't in the best ending of Indigo Prophecy what's his name became imbued with the power of god or something? And why no zone of the enders? It was pretty cool...also was really saddening to see I played the vast majority of these.... WHY DOES EVERYTHING I LOVE DIE?
Woah, where is Advent Rising in this list??? While a whole lot of stuff needed fixing in that game (ridiculously long BAD vehicle sequences and seemingly unbeatable boss battles), there was too much right with it to have those hamper it. The story was epic, written by the sci-fi master Orson Scott Card and the combat was fresh and fun. I really want to know what happens, as the game ends on a big cliff hanger and I want to throw more aliens into the void with flick-targeting.
I really want a Black Sequel cos Black was one of the finest FPSes I've ever played. Sure it was light on story and heavy on Gun Porn (the latter not a bad thing), a story can blossom in the sequel. GET ON IT CRITERION!
Was Full Throttle the game where the dude sez funny things like, "I wouldn't put my lips on that..."?
Fantasvision. Just bought it for $4.
I enjoyed Auto Modellista. Very cool look tho cel-shaded got dissed pretty hard.
Seaman and Ka! I had forgotten all about those! Chakan needs a sequel? Are you joking? I didn't think it was all that but uh, ok. Chaos Legion was kinda fun, but I had no idea what I was doing.
Burning Rangers. I never played it but I heard it was cool all those years ago!
Dragon Force is one of my fave games of all time! I didn't port the sequel but man...
AND thank you for mention Legend of Dragoon. I LOVED that game. I emailed Sony back when about a sequel and they said, "it's just not in the works". That was maybe a year after it was released. :( I may NOT agree with all of the choices that needs sequels but what I've listed are pretty much what I'd be interested in.
Man, I've been wishing (although I very well know that it probably won't ever happen) for a sequel to Psi-Ops ever since I beat the first game years ago. That game was awesome.
Seeing another Black game would be nice. Just imagine how wonderfully Criterion could make crap blow up on current-gen consoles.
And Full Throttle... Ah, I spent tons of time playing that game when I was younger. Favorite part, hands down, is releasing an entire box of mechanical toy bunnies into the minefield at once while "Ride of the Valkyries" plays.
Dungeon Keeper
Freelancer
Little Big Adventure (emphasis on this one)
Star Wars: Jedi Knight
Max Payne
Conker's Bad Fur Day
Road Rash
Toejam & Earl
Crusader: No regret
Silent Hunter
Star Fox (a true SF game, please)
Virtua Cop 2 (c'mon, the civilians jumping in front of the criminals were hilarious)
Earthworm Jim
Battletanx
007 Goldeneye (or at least make a new 007 game like the N64 one was...)
Serious Sam
Marvel vs Capcom
Mechwarrior
Golden Axe
Rayman 2 the great scape
Chrono Trigger (again, a real sequel is needed... or at least a remake)
No One Lives Forever 2
Age of Mithology
Well my bad. Meant to be short but I guess nostalgia got me, badly.
My love for Primal Rage just came back in a flash. As my second name for the NES, I believed I called it Street Fighter but with dinosaurs. That game sill doesn't have a sequel? I won't stand for this nonsense.
I think Lifeline should stay dead though (Broken Pixels episode 19). Anybody get that?
i think advent rising needs it's swquel, it's too bad mejesco's dead but that game was a brilliant game. it starts as a semi-standard third person space shooter which put it ahead of it's time already, then there was the evolving characters that started out as normal humans and ended with super powers. yes the game was short and perhaps too ahead of it's time, i say bring that trilogy(as a single game) to something like the ps3 and kick up the graphics a little and you'll have a brilliant masterpiece on your hands, also i would love to get the main female's psp game too. advent rising's story was truly exciting and orson scott card really threw a nice curveball once you reached the epilouge of the first game... some devs gotta see how good this game was and go the distance with it
What about Chromehounds, that game had almost limitless potential and alot of devoted players. Sega let this one slip. Also what about that game Desert strike or whatever it was with the helicopter where you went around blowing up crap. Some of these titles are so old I doubt some would remember them, but worth a second look.
