if the advertisment says it can do everything, and doesn't play PS2 games, or some PS1 games... does that count as false advertising

Pretty cool but i think i will wait until the PS4 or the Xbox720. i dont want to get a console that is in the middle or the end of its lifespan.
BUT HEY: 300 bucks for something that was 600 is NICE!!!!!!!!

I am so there. I'm so glad that they dropped the price. Now this is far more realistic for my pathetic budget. Maybe I WILL be able to play FF13 when it comes out! And I better start buying BluRay movies instead of dvds now. Hmmmmm... :D

adadadad u no nufing about quality, ps3 is betta in evry way 2 the 360. i bet u cant name 3 things that the xbox is betta than ths ps3.

oh, okay, so now the 4th metal gear solid game is about 20 to 30 dollars, complete with the slim system, it's about 330 dollars (this is actually a note to self, and i'm posting it here so that nobody screws me over for it). i wouldn't recommend buying the component cables if you don't have and hdtv since it wouldn't make any difference, except for the money you got in your wallet. i believe they took the power switch off the back since some people were ******** (censored for your enjoyment) about how they had their ps3's on a tv stand and couldn't access the button from the back end. if you have seen those stands, the only way to access the back of the system is to pull the system out of the stand and flip the switch. i have an idea for any game company, but i won't say anything since it's a good idea and i don't want somebody else to steal it from me. if you check auction sites, you may find the system for a ridiculously low bid, like $100 for a ps3 since people think it's better to go out and get it since somebody may bid over them.

i'll say this once and only once. all but one game series on xbox is exclusive and is an contender, and it is halo (banjo and kazooie was never a strong contender), they have overpriced accesories (512 mb memory is still beat by a 4gb sandisk flash drive by 10 dollars), fees for playing online, added fees for downloading. all other games that have a chance on xbox are sony also has. in addition, ps3 has metal gear solid 4 which beats halo all the way to the curb, no fees for online, blue ray disk, sd card reader, not so expensive accesories. some fees for downloads, but not as expensive. microsoft is so desperate with their system, they are giving away 2 games worth maybe 10 dollars each, with the console. i won't be surprised if bill decides to pack it in and give up on the gaming wars and stick with pcs. he'd be making the smartest move of his life. with apple's rising sales, he should be looking behind his back now. he was way too late with the zune, as apple were coming out with i-phones at the time.

lmfao good point. Doesn't seem like they're ever going to remedy this, too many dumb fucks are STILL buying PS2s. All the money they spent on those and the games could have probably bought them two PS3s by now but they're too fucking stupid.

what in god's name is wrong with sony? haven't they noticed that the only thing people are asking for outta this thing is to play the old games too? what is the point of buying this just to have to refurbish my entire collection? even the xbox 360 understands this! backwards compatible FTW!!!
